Paper cone wreath
Delicate and traditional, this wreath can be made
from a variety of papers. Sheet music adds a touch
of nostaligia, but you could also use double layers
of coloured wrapping paper, newspaper or even
magazine print.
You will need
Paper - music sheets or other
Scrapbook paper
35cm timber embroidery hoop
Step 1
Cut cone patterns from templates in both sizes, from
music sheets and coordinating scrapbook paper
Step 2
Shape each cut paper piece into a cone and secure
closed with craft glue.
Step 3
Use the inside hoop of the embroidery hoop, lay
cones around the outside of the hoop using craft glue
to hold in place, then a layer on the inside. Use mostly
large cones, then scale down to the small cones for
the top of the wreath.
Step 4
To make the ‘rosette’, start by gluing together a fan
shape of 5 large cones, glue onto the hoop and build
up the rest in layers of small and large cones.
Step 5
To complete cut 3x 3cm strips of paper to make
ribbon-like tails to hang under the rosette.
