ROOF-TILE PRESSES NOVA II/ WEGA Modern roof-tile presses by HÄNDLE are not only universally useful but also extremely attractive in terms of economic effi- PRODUCT INFORMATION ciency. HÄNDLE Accessory Roof-Tile Press Type WEGA SII NEW APPROACH FOR MORE ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY To be market-appropriate, today's roof-tile product ranges must include numerous different standard and nonstandard tiles. The situation is a major challenge for all tile producers, because each additional variant makes it more difficult to implement economically efficient production processes. This is where HÄNDLE's WEGA series comes in: this modern pressing system treads new ground and unites product diversity with economic efficiency. CRITERIA FOR A UNIVERSAL ROOF-TILE PRESSING SYSTEM Since nonstandards, i.e., complementary roof tiles, are characterized by marked differences in size, shape and their usually complicated geometry, individual pressing options are of primary interest. For standard tiles, though, the main objectives are optimal pressing at the highest possible speed. Consequently, a "universatile" pressing system billed as equally suitable for producing standards and nonstandards alike must satisfy the following main requirements: automatic operation accurate positioning and motion high pressing force sequences for bat placement and green- freely programmable compaction curves tile removal catering to model-specific forming clean and tidy removal of scraps characteristics stroke rates allowing high throughput high compaction-curve reproducibility 2 PRODUCT INFORMATION NOVA II | WEGA THE WEGA ACCESSORY ROOF-TILE PRESS BY HÄNDLE The HÄNDLE-WEGA pressing system The newly engineered WEGA pressing system optimally meets all those requirements. Three different versions are available for covering any individual range of application: WEGA S II WEGA S II with 2 synchronous 90°-rotating pressing tables with 1 top-half mold and 2 bottom-half molds and a max. stroke rate of 8/min = 480 pressings/h WEGA S III with 3 synchronous 120°-rotating pressing tables with 1 top-half mold and 3 bottom-half molds and a max. stroke rate of 12/min = 720 pressings/h WEGA S IV with 4 synchronous 90°-rotating pressing tables with 1 top-half mold and 4 bottom-half molds and a WEGA S III max. stroke rate of 13/min = 780 pressings/h The table measures 560 x 574 mm, giving a maximum mold mounting area of 500 x 650 mm. The useful mold-group height is adjustable between 170 mm and 300 mm. The 300-mm working stroke can accommodate practically any conceivable type of tile. A maximum pressing force of 1500 kN or 2000 kN enable perfect forming / expression, even of complicated models. The WEGA is equally good for soft and stiff pressing and for all customary mold materials, e.g., plas-ter, metal or rubber. WEGA S IV NOVA II REVOLVING ROOF-TILE PRESS BY HÄNDLE The HÄNDLE-NOVA pressing system The NOVA II was engineered as a 6-fold revolving press for preferential production of either large-area tiles in 2 fields or standard tiles in up to 4 fields. This particular design facilitates the generation of extra-high pressing forces up 4000 kN with only minimalized strain on the machine's structure. Very high precision and reproducibility are guaranteed at all times by the machine's rigid construction. All strength-related components were designed by the finite element method to give the individual parts very high durability.
