This New York Festival Gold Medal winning documentary showcases the
charcoal drawings of Austrian artist Michael Bockelmann who seeks to give
new life to countless children who were murdered in the death camps and those
who narrowly escaped.
The poignant story of six Jewish Danish children’s survival in Theresienstadt. An
emotional journey across Europe today takes them back to the camp that was their
prison during childhood.
During the Second World War, out of 22 countries occupied by the Nazis,
only one small nation succeeds in saving their entire Jewish community.

Independence. Upon their arrival a rumour spreads that Bruno was a sadistic
Kapo who abused and killed prisoners. Inspired by the life of Eliezer Grinbaum
who was a Kapo in Auschwitz from 1942-1945.
