Product Description
The MSM282 is a 2-channel indirect lighting controller that
consists of two (2) individual channels and interfaces with lighting
modules using control signals. It is designed to operate with
indirect lighting modules with control signal inputs. This module
provides the proper on/off and bright/dim output for indirect
lighting.

The MSM282 is a 2-channel (CKT1 and CKT2) indirect
lighting controller. When a channel is switched on, the
corresponding indirect lights may be dimmed or brightened.
The set function initializes the indirect lights to the ON
condition and full bright upon power up. The reset line
initializes the indirect lights to the OFF condition upon power
up. These functions are activated when a ground input signal
is present on the set and reset pins.
The oxygen mask input will override any setting and turn the
CKT2 indirect lights to ON and BRIGHT. This feature
complies with federal regulations concerning emergency
lighting. Oxygen mask input is provided to set CKT2 lights
only to the ON position when a momentary ground is applied
to the oxygen mask set input. A momentary ground on the
set or reset pin will activate the set/reset functions.
The indirect lights on/off output will toggle each time a switch
input has been received. The bright/dim output will toggle
each time a switch input is received only if the corresponding
circuit is ON. Each time the lights are toggled to the ON
position, the bright/dim output will output +28 VDC.

All power, signal, and ground wires are 22 AWG, MINIMUM.
Protect power wires with circuit breakers or fuses located
close to the electrical power bus.
Ensure that power and ground are applied only where
required.
The unit shall NOT be mounted to the skin of the aircraft.
