General Information Education is the foundation pillar for SCAE activity. Authorised SCAE Trainers are our most important ambassadors. They help to promote the awareness of consumers and people in the industry of quality from "bean to cup" through professional education. How to become an Authorised SCAE Trainer: Be a SCAE member (in the correct category: professional individual or secondary member) For further information please contact our membership team here: membership@scae.com Have successfully passed Intermediate level (former level 1) and Professional level (former level 2) in one of the Coffee Diploma System modules after July 2011 Check the SCAE Education calendar to see if there is a Authorised Trainer course you wish to attend and download the AST Application Form from the SCAE website Fill in the AST Application form and send it to Annemarie: annemarie@scae.com Approved applications will receive an invoice of 1,200 Euros (subject to change) for the course fees and three-year AST licence. Course fees must be paid in advance of the course Attend the two-day AST course which covers the Coffee Diploma System, training skills and background to SCAE. During the course, you will be guided through the AST contract and asked to sign the AST agreement On successful completion of the course, your name will be added to the Authorised SCAE Trainer list on the SCAE website How to become a Certifier for Coffee Diploma System modules Green Coffee, Sensory Skills, Roasting, Barista Skills or Brewing: Be an Authorised SCAE Trainer Have passed Intermediate level (former level 1) and Professional level (former level 2) of the specific module(s) that you wish to certify Apply for a license by email to Annemarie Tiemes: annemarie@scae.com SCAE HQ will send you an invoice for the license fee of 200 Euros, valid for three years. ASTs must purchase a module licence for each module they wish to certify After payment you will receive an extension to your AST contract, which you have to sign Return a copy of the signed document by email to education@scae.com Once SCAE has received payment and relevant documents, you will receive access to the Trainers' Log-in page SCAE will add your licence to your name on the SCAE website SAH/10.14 SCAE Education General information Benefits of being an Authorised SCAE Trainer You are a Certifier for the Coffee Diploma System module "Introduction to Coffee" and can deliver training and certifications for this module You have the option of becoming a Certifier for other Coffee Diploma System modules You can use the Authorised SCAE Trainer logo on your business cards, website or any written material advertising your courses As an Authorised SCAE Trainer your Coffee Diploma System courses will be published in the education calendar on the SCAE website As an Authorised SCAE Trainer we will publish your contact details on the relevant page of the SCAE website Annual Authorised SCAE Trainer meeting for the transfer of new knowledge and trends in training management as well as for professional and social networking Recognition by peers as someone who has a deep coffee knowledge and experience and who is able to impart that knowledge and experience to others SAH/10.14 SCAE Education General information
