within small group-based activities

PROGRAM OUTLINE
This program is based on the Lego Therapy model but participants
will use a variety of construction toys as the basis of their project.
The idea behind Lego Therapy is to motivate children to work together
in pairs and small groups on specific projects. The program allows
children to practice joint problem solving, listening, and general social
communication skills, and will be supported by a multidisciplinary
team of therapists. The program will be most suited to children with
strong language skills and previous exposure to social skills training.

PROGRAM OUTLINE
The purpose of this program is to encourage children to
actively participate in a range of gross motor activities aimed
at developing basic understanding and skills required for
sporting groups and games.
Children will develop their gross motor skills in a fun and
supportive environment aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle
through engagement in sport and exercise. Children will gain an
understanding of the basic skills required to engage in physical
activity with their peers as well as the development of ‘life skills’
including turn taking, following the rules, resilience and team
work. All children will be supported to participate to the best of
their ability across a range of social and sporting activities.

Teamwork & Technology
Club

PROGRAM OUTLINE
• The focus of the program is encouraging small groups of children to work as a team to use the iPad and appropriate apps to create or develop a visual production or presentation, or a type of game.
• DROIDS!
Students will learn how to program a droid in this fun and
interactive series of sessions. Robots are able to operate due to a series of preprogramed instructions. This entry level session will introduce students to the concept of programming
a series of instructions so a robot can complete a task.
• Using iPads and Spheros (the technology that drives BB-8
in Star Wars: TFA), they’ll explore the world of programming with physical results to share as a team.
