Modular 0.45m Ku-Band MicroSAT Terminal Solution
The SwiftLink® Stingray 45-Ku terminal is a lightweight, modular Ultra Small Aperture
Terminal (USAT) Ku band solution designed to specifically meet the needs of small deployed
teams. The Stingray 45-Ku terminal features a 0.45m Cassegrain carbon-fiber antenna that is man
portable, designed for easy transportation via backpack, and meets FAA requirements for air travel. The
Stingray 45-Ku solution supports any standards based L-band modem including the iDirect Evolution,
iDirect iNFINITI 7000 series and the Hughes HX200. The modem module is field-interchangeable giving
users added flexibility. The terminal’s LCD display includes signal strength indicators to assist the operator
with satellite acquisition, allowing for on the air operations within a few minutes and requires minimal user
training.
The Stingray 45-Ku, along with the preferred baseband kit SwiftLink SABR 2740, is the most economical
broadband solution available in the industry today. The SABR 2740 platform’s COTS-based system design
leverages the best-of-breed components the industry has to offer and allows secure access to red, gray
and black networks. Its EoIP (Everything-Over-IP) architecture supports all converged voice, video and data
applications and supports throughput rates greater than 1.544 Mbps. An optional battery pack utilizing BA5590 batteries or rechargeable Lithium-Ion batteries supports sustained operations for up to 3.5 hours. The
rechargeable Li-Ion batteries can also be paired with two flexible solar array panels to provide extended
