It is one of the means by which society keeps it informed, away of bringing under central situations of increasing size and complexity of obtaini ng perceptive and standard of com parison. A survey gives an oversight of a field and is thus distinguishing from a sort of study whi ch consists of a m icroscopic examination of a turf ; it is a m ap rather than a detailed plan. The survey must be planned before a start is made. 1.2 PURPOSE OF THE LITERATURE SURVEY The lite rature review pla ys a very important role in the res earch proc ess. It is a so urce from where research ideas are draw n and developed into concepts and finally theories. It also provides the researcher a bird’s eye view about the research done in that area so far. Depending on what is observed in the litera ture review, a research er will unders tand where his/her research stands. Here in this literature survey, all primary, secondary and tertiary sources of information were searched. The study of literatu re on --------- ---------------------------------- ( your topic name ) i n general and in the field of library and info rmation science particular revealed several efforts made by the scholars in different discipline. In addition to above searches, bibliography of journal article are also review ed for m ore sources as well as websites and consul ted various em inent experts. 1.5 METHODOLOGY For preparing of this literature survey I have taken a lot of steps for collecting the articles about the (your topic name). I went to the de partment lib rary and ce ntral lib rary for collecting a rticles f rom journa ls o n m y assigned topic. Allard, A. “Library managers and information in w orld 2.0.” Library Management 30.1-2 (2009): 57-68. Abstract: T he purpose of this paper is to prov ide lib rary m anagers with th e ability to recognize and address World 2.0 infor mation issu es to enhance their ability to develop management plans for the future. This pape r explores what Worl d 2.0 m eans to library managers in three ways. Three inform ation di mensions are identified using m odels to examine World 2.0 in a histor ical context. An analysis is conducted of the different generations of users in World 2.0 including th eir diverse attitud es, beliefs, experiences and skills and how these influence their enga gement with the inf ormation environment. Four key characteristics of Web 2.0 are identified through an analysis of Web 2.0 in relation to World 2.0. Key findings in this paper are that: three dimensions of information in W orld 2.0 exist and can be used by libra ry m anagers to help them understand the challenges and to facilitate th e construction of strategic m anagement plans that address them.
