Security Officer Quick Reference Guide
Suspend, restore, delete users and reset user passwords
Background: Security Officer(s) can:
• Suspend user: block a user from accessing NAB Connect.
• Restore user: restore access for a suspended user. Suspension may have
occurred due to exceeding the allowable number of incorrect login attempts.
• Delete user: constitutes permanent removal from NAB Connect.
• Reset user password.
Each change can be approved by a single Security Officer or can be configured
to require two officers for added security (Dual administration).
Note: This service can be made available through self-service with the
completion of the Enhanced Self Service Amendment form.

Select the radio button for the appropriate user.
Note: To suspend a user, their status must be ‘provisioned’ or ‘active’.
Steps

Suspend user

Select Users from the Admin tab.

The Users screen displays.

Select Suspend from the More drop-down list.

The Suspend User screen displays.

Select the Suspend button to confirm the suspension.

Note: If two Security Officers (Dual Administration) are required to
authorise changes, the second Security Officer must approve or decline
the request from the amendment register.
Restore user
Select the radio button for the appropriate user.
Note: To restore a user, their status must be ‘suspended’.

Click the Delete button.

Confirmation of the deletion displays.

Note: The user’s status must be ‘suspended’ before they can be deleted.

The Delete User pop-up window displays.

The user will receive a new temporary password via email.
Delete user
3.1
Select the radio button for the appropriate user.

Select Delete from the More drop-down list.

Select the radio button for the appropriate user.
Note: To reset a user’s password, their status must be ‘provisioned’ or
‘active’.
Note: General users are sent a new temporary password. Authorised
users can login with the password generated from their existing token.
