BYU Flats Test (http: / /flats.byu. edu) Languages test available for non BYU students are: Afrikaans, Albanian, Arabic, Armenian, Aymara, Bulgarian, Cakchiquel, Cambodian, Cantonese, Cebuano, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, ESL, Estonian, Frasi-Persian, Fijian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Guarani, Haitian Creole, Hmong, Hungarian, Icelandic, Ilonggo/Hillgaynon, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Malagasy, Mandarin, Maori-NewZealand, Mongolian, Navajo, Norwegian, Polish, Potuguese-Brazillian, Portuguese-Continental, Quechua, Roratonagan, Romanian, Russian, Samoan, Serbian, Spanish, Swedish, Tagalog, Tahitian, Thai, Tongan, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, Welsh Taking a BYU Language Placement Test The BYU flats test is only offered at the USU Logan, UT Campus for USU students. If you need to take one of the above tests you order the test online at http://flats.byu.edu/. You will pay for the test at this site and tell them where you would like to take the test (USU Logan Campus). They will ask for your proctors information which is: Darla Moore 0720 Old Main Hill Logan, Ut 84322-0720 darla.moore@usu.edu 435-797-1209 They will also ask were you would like the results to be sent to. You use the same information as you did for the proctor. There will be a proctor fee of $25 before you take the test at USU. You will need to come into Main 204 to pick up that for before you go to the registers office. BYU will send you two emails. The first is the receipt that you have paid BYU for the test. The second email has the password you will need to bring with you to the test, this is important. If you don't see the second one it sometimes goes to your junk mail. As soon as you receive the emails from BYU you can call 797-1209 or email darla.moore@usu.edu to set up a 2 1/2 hour test. Appointments for BYU test can start from 9 to 2. To buy lower division credits after taking the BYU Language Test: 1. After you have taken the BYU FLATS TEST and you have received your test results, come into LPCS Main 204 and get the form to buy the credits. (You must get at least 12 credits on the results of the test in order to buy the 16 credits of Lower-Division classes) BYU credits are Pass/Fail, they do not come with a grade. These credits will be treated like transfer credits. credits they will be recorded as transfer credits. After receiving the form take it to the registration office. NOTE: 12 Pass credits from BYU are equal to 16 Pass credits at USU. 2. You must return the form and receipt to Main 204 where they will get placed on your transcript. When you make this payment do not include any other payments with it.
