Revisions to Electrical Materials Specifications, October 1, 1996
EBM INDEX, EBM-TS-CABLE, EBM-LDL, EBM-REDLED-TSM, EBM-GRNLEDTSM, EBM-LED-GARTAM, and EBM-LED-BTAM
The Electrical Materials Specifications, October 1, 1996, has been updated to meet industry standards.
To incorporate these changes, replace the specifications listed in the summary below with the attached
specifications. A summary of the changes is as follows:
EBM INDEX
Revised Index.
EBM-TS-CABLE
Deleted fourth paragraphs under Type A and Type B.
Revised the first sentence of the third paragraph under Type B.
EBM-LDL
Deleted the fourth paragraphs under Type A and Type B.
EBM-REDLED-TSM
Revised paragraph in Subpart B and added paragraph in Subpart C under Section 1-1.
Revised last sentence in Section 2-4.
Revised Sections 2-5, 3-1, 3-2, 3-3, 3-8, 4-1, 4-3 and 4-4.
Revised the first paragraph and deleted the second paragraph in Section 2-6.
Deleted Sections 2-7, 2-8 and 3-9.
Revised Section 2-9 and renumbered to 2-7.
EBM-GRNLED-TSM
Revised paragraph in Subpart B and added paragraph in Subpart C under Section 1-1.

Instructions to Designers
These revisions shall be included in all Department projects with Electrical Material Specifications
which are scheduled for a Final Design Submission after January 20, 2000. These revisions will be
incorporated by Department Specification Engineers responsible for preparing the Special Provisions,
therefore, designers need not insert these changes.
Distribution to In-House Staff and Various Public Agencies
