WIEDEMANN MANSION Enjoy the view from the home which extends almost 180 degrees, encompassing Newport and picturesque profiles of Mt. Adams and the Cincinnati skyline in the foreground. In 1887 George Wiedemann, founder of the George Wiedemann Brewing Company, and his Wife, Agnes, purchased land in Newport’s Cote Brilliante neighborhood for $18,000. OLD FASHIONED HOLIDAY DINNER You’ll enjoy the ambience as you dine in the Brantley Carriage House with its toy trains and railroad memorabilia. Dinner menus are based on recipes from the railroads of yesterday, and are served by staff dressed as Porters and Conductors. Tables are decorated with railroad items and a video of railroad pictures will be showing continually for people to view. SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS TOUR This driving/walking tour not only features access to five of the most beautiful churches in the tri-state, but also showcases history of international significance. The tour ends in the fully decorated St. Francis Seraph Church and Friary, where patrons can view numerous nativity scenes from around the world and participate in a scavenger hunt while enjoying the largest Dickens Village in the area. St. Francis also hosts a full stable of live animals in the courtyard to help everyone remember the true meaning of Christmas.
