Thanksgiving through the third week of December

about the meaning of this Christmas
symbol. Browse the Gift Barn and see a lifesize nativity. Make your own greenery to
take with them. No visit to the Christmas
tree farm is complete without a cup of hot
chocolate and holiday cookies.
Be swept into a festive mood by
experiencing the wonder of beautiful
antique ornaments, toys, and decorations at
the Taft Museum. This is not an ordinary
museum; it was the private home of
President William Howard Taft and where
he accepted the nomination for U. S.
president. Christmas decorations will adorn
the entire museum. The Christmas
decorations adorn the entire museum. The
colors used in the museum real play off the

ENGLISH DINNER IN AN
ENGLISH CHURCH
Few of us would recognize the traditional
Christmas food from England in the late
1600’s, when a typical lord and lady’s
menu might include the sort of food we
sing about in the old Carol, “The Twelve
Days of Christmas”…YUM?? NO, your
ENGLISH menu will consist of Wassail, one
of the strongest traditions of
Christmastime also a more American
version of Christmas dinner and of course
plum pudding and other specialties.
Entertainment: Meet a true English lady
who will share with guests English
traditions that play a vital part of the
entire Christmas season. Everyone will
receive Christmas Crackers one very
special item that always adorns the
Christmas table and send everyone home
with a piece of fruitcake.
CLIFTON MILLS MANSION

experience over three million lights in a
breathtaking natural setting, including a 100
foot moving waterfall of lights (lights up at

over 3000 Santa's dating from 1850 to 2001.

scene, Log Cabin and Covered Bridge. There
is a snack shop with hot cocoa and more.

and a video of railroad pictures will be
showing continually for people to view.
During dessert guests will be entertained
by Bob Ford (Folklore and Fun) who will
provide guests with holiday music (similar
to Burl Ives, Kingston Trio) that is sure to
have guests feeling the reason for the
season. Prior to departing guests will
enjoy a special reading of Clement C.
Moore (1779-1863) Twas the Night Before
Christmas which was published
anonymously on December 23, 1823.
Everyone will take home a copy.
