The cylinder is independent from the frame trolley, giving advantages for a better safety avoiding welding on its body. The frame is made by steel tube painted with yellow epoxy-polyester.
The design cylinder is done according to the EN 3-3 and it has successfully achieved all the essential requirements according to the Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC (PED); the welding process and the welders’ qualification is made according to the
EN 288 and EN 1418, the test on the cylinders are made according to the EN 3-6 and EN 3-3 which require for each lot bursting tests, crush test etc.
The cylinder is designed with a nominal pressure at 20°C of 15 bars and with a pressure at 60°C of 18 bar (maximum allowable pressure PS).
The cylinder has been made in 3 pieces with two domes (upper and lower) steel type DD12, one cylindrical body steel type DD12 and the neck gear steel type S235J2G3.
The cylinder is welded by means of a MIG machine with electronic control of the speed, of the flow of the gas mixture, voltage and amperage; all these things guarantee quality and uniformity of the welding. The quality of the steel is guaranteed from the material supplied from foundry, which is certified according ISO 9000; moreover the steel is supplied together with chemical and mechanical certificate mod. 3.1.B EN 10204.
Every cylinder is marked according to Directive 97/23/EC and with other production’s data’s to grant its tracing.
Every cylinder is tested for leakages with air up to 8 bars and then hydraulic tested up to 26-bar. The cylinder is deeply sand blasted and painted with epoxy-polyester powder red Ral 3000 resistant to the corrosive environment and to U.V.
The loading cap has a passage hole of 100 mm made in brass
OT58 complete with a control gauge in order to check the correct pressure when the nitrogen bottle is activated; a vent to release residual pressure before maintenance, a high flow safety valve
M 30 x 1,5 made in brass and spring in stainless steel in order to avoid the corrosion and a perfect operation in every environmental situation. The safety valve is set at 22 ± 2 bars.
Hose is made in EPDM rubber 4 mt length with polypropylene discharge horn, brass ball valve; the machine gun is provide with ergonomic handle.
The jet is soft and long through the patented special ergonomic horn while discharge allows the flow of the powder with very low drop loss. The fire can be immediately extinguished.
Propellant bottle
3 lt Nitrogen bottle chrome molybdenum carbon steel is made in according to directive 84/525/CEE and directive 99/36/CE
(T PED).
Treatment: deep sand blasting, then epoxy polyester powder coating red RAL 3000 u.v. repellent and resistant to scratches and knocks as well to corrosive weather conditions.
Complete with hand wheel valve made of brass
Dry chemical powder TOTAL G. is produced in according to EN
615 and ISO 9000 quality control.
The basic components of dry powder are sodium bicarbonate and calcium carbonate with special silicones additives enabling easy flow discharge and avoiding any checking process. Dry powder is not corrosive, not abrasive, not toxic for humans and animals.
Note: other kinds of powder may be used instead of BC: ask our technical office for compatibility.
1) unroll the hose from the fire extinguisher and keep in hand the spring gun;
2) Take out the safety pin and open the leverage on the cylinder valve;
3) Open the valve on the spring gun and aim the jet at the base of fire, distribute the extinguishing agent right and left uniformly on the fire.
In case of fire of flammable liquid do not approach to much.
You need trained people to use properly. This fire extinguisher can be used on this type of fire classes B e C and even on live electrical equipment class E up to 1000 Volt at 1 m distance minimum. In laboratory the extinguisher succeeded the dielectric test at 35 KV at 1 mt distance.

The use of non original spare parts may cause malfunctions loss
Maintenance must be made periodically by, trained and certified staff, according to the local regulations of the country where it is located.
The extinguisher is guaranteed for 24 months from the date of the supply. The guarantee includes, repairing or replacement for production defects, unit must be sent back to the factory free of charge, only when authorized written agreement with our sales office has been reached.
The guarantee expires in case of tampering and bad maintenance made by not-authorized staff.
It must be recharged only by staff authorized and certified by a.b.s. S.r.l.
