Changing times demand unchanging principles
and flexible methods.
1 Corinthians 9:19-22 (NKJV)
19 For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant
to all, that I might win the more.
...22 to the weak I became as weak, that I might win the weak. I have
become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

Changing times require tools that can adapt to change and serve those
who serve God’s purposes
Habakkuk 2:4 (NKJV)
“Write the vision, make it plain on
tablets, that he may run who reads it.”

What is New Media?
New media has emerged from the convergence of “old” or
traditional media, technological advances in digital media and
Internet communications.
Old media is indelible such as with clay tablets, typewriters, CD’s,
and DVD’s.

What is New Media?
Digital media is at the heart of the new media revolution. It allows content
to be reproduced, re-purposed and revised as needed for various uses.
Old media technologies such as typewriters imposed text on paper, but the
text could not be revised without re-typing. A word processing application
such as Microsoft Word converts text to digital bits that may be re-arranged,
copied, pasted and transferred and finally output to an analog medium such
as paper.

We are “Fishers of Men”
Understand the “Cultural Language” of our Times
In changing times, we cannot afford to fall behind technology and
productivity trends or become out of step with the “cultural language” of
the people we serve.
“Be a student of the culture and be adaptable. A student of the culture is one
who is constantly in tune with techniques and trends in TV, film, and the
Internet.” ~Len Wilson

Social Networks are part of today’s cultural language. Often distracting and
full of foolishness...but a real mission field and tool for connecting friends and
stakeholders.
“Fishers of men” must go where the fish are located.
Build your “brand” and identity on a Facebook Business Page that links to your
website. Review marketing resources such as
www.ContentMarketingInstitute.com
Keep personal and personal and ministry social networks separate.
