First we correct the most critical situations, restoring power to hospitals, fire, police and essential citywide systems. We then work to restore power to the largest number of customers affected at one time by making repairs to stations or major feeder lines, followed by smaller neighbourhoods, streets and individual homes or businesses. The accompanying illustration shows how power restoration is prioritized after a major event, such as an ice storm. ® A registered trademark of Toronto Hydro Corporation used under licence. “Toronto Hydro” means Toronto Hydro-Electric System Limited.
