Dear BioRay, My son’s ATEC score dropped 9 points two weeks after starting CytoFlora. Here are some of the improvements: Potty Training A week after ramping up to three droppers full two times per day, my son finally urinated in the toilet. We've been working on this for two years, and he's gone in the toilet maybe twice. He basically became potty-trained overnight. We've had only a couple of accidents, and he now tells us when he needs to go, and goes independently. We've ditched the diapers (except at night), and he's going to school in underwear. His ABA therapist said that it just finally clicked for him. (We're still working on pooping in the toilet, but with his constipation, it's proving more difficult.) More Social/Affectionate The first two weeks on the CytoFlora, my son's teacher commented that he wanted to be near other kids--not necessarily playing with them, but sitting with them. I noticed this as well at the park: a little girl was playing in the sand, and he went and sat next to her. Another day at the park, he stopped playing, ran over to me and threw his arms around me, hugged me and ran back to play. His ABA therapist told me that he did the same thing to him in the middle of a session. He's asking for hugs and to be held a lot more. At the lake one day, he noticed a boy rolling down the hill. He laughed and ran over to the boy and joined in. They rolled down the hill laughing and having a great time. Sense of Humor We think he's trying to make jokes (as much as his language will allow). He pointed to his sister's corn dog and said "Corn Dog," and then he laughed and said "Unicorn Dog." Other times he will say things wrong on purpose and argue with us while laughing, e.g., he’ll point to something red and say “it’s blue,” and 1 look at me with a grin on his face waiting for me to say “no, it’s red.” He absolutely knows his colors, so we know he wants just to tease us. He's also making rhymes saying "rojo yoyo" and things like that. Swimming He's been learning to swim for a few months now, but he sort of just moved his arms and legs without going anywhere. A couple of weeks after we started the CytoFlora, he started plowing through the water like the kid from The Incredibles (with me holding his stomach). I couldn’t keep up with him so we bought him a vest, but I'm guessing that we will be able to take the vest away in a few weeks. He's also trying to dive in the water and doing backwards somersaults off the edge. And last week, he began swimming by holding his breath and putting his face in the water. Speech My son is very verbal, but most of it is functional scripting. We've noticed more spontaneous speech, e.g., I asked him "How's your popsicle?" Usually, he will answer with "I have a popsicle," but this time he said, "It's yummy." On July 4th, a relative took him swimming in the pool while I stayed behind; she said he was swimming and stopped and looked at her and said, "Where's mommy?" Our first real non-scripted question! Also, every day when he comes home from school I ask him what he did that day, and he never answers me; yesterday, when I asked, he replied “Teacher drawed a picture.” He was also singing a song yesterday for the first time ever! I'm sure there is more that I'm forgetting, but these are the big gains we have seen with CytoFlora in only two weeks. -Thank you for this amazing product!
