When you make your purchase with us, you will have peace of mind knowing that Zen-Ray Optics is behind
every binocular we make. Through rigorous quality control, 99.9% of our product meets the most stringent
industrial standard that ensures them to last for a lifetime. However, that is still NOT good enough for us
since there is still a slim chance that a less than perfect copy of binocular may end up in the hands of our
customer. When that happens, we want you to know that Zen-Ray is here for you. This is exactly the
reason why we introduce this replacement guarantee certificate!
THIS CERTIFICATE ENTITLES ORIGINAL ZEN-RAY SUMMIT OWNERS THE RIGHT TO EXCHANGE
FOR A BRAND NEW SUMMIT (EQUIVALENT OR BETTER AT DISCRETION OF ZEN-RAY OPTICS)
BINOCULAR ONE-TIME IF THE ORIGINAL PRODUCT FAILED TO FUNCTION PROPERLY DUE TO
DEFECTS FROM MATERIAL OR WORKMANSHIP DURING THE 5-YEAR WARRANTY PERIOD.

1. Email Zen-Ray Optics support@zen-ray.com to request Exchange Authorization Number (EAN)
2. Upon receiving your EAN number, please send the following items to us with shipping prepaid and
insured
a. Your original binoculars, carrying case with its packing material
b. A copy of this certificate
c. Your purchase receipt (if you misplace your receipt, please write down your order number
so we can look it up in our system)
d. A check of $25 payable to Zen-Ray Optics for handling and return shipping cost*.

This is a one time certificate. The replacement binocular carries our normal 30-day return guarantee and assumes
the remaining warranty time of original purchase.
This certificate covers the defect from material and workmanship. It does not cover consumer caused damages
such as misuse, abuse or repairs attempted by someone other than our authorized technicians.
This certificate has no cash value and is not transferable.
Zen-Ray reserves the right to send an equivalent or a better (model) binocular as a replacement.
This certificate complements the original warranty card. Customers can still request repair service if that option is
more desirable.
This certificate applies to SUMMIT binoculars ordered on our store website, our eBay store, and through authorized
retailers.

FAQ
Q. What is the difference between your replacement certificate and the replacement guarantees sold by other
companies at the time of purchase?
A. All customers who have bought SUMMIT binoculars are automatically covered by this certificate without
additional cost. That's the most important difference. Only a very small number of binoculars we sell will ever need
service during their lifetime. Hence, it won't make sense for you to purchase an expensive service contract that
you will never use. Our certificate is here to protect our customers against defects from material and workmanship
in an unlikely event.
Q. What is the $25 charge for?
A. This is the actual handling and shipping cost for us to process an exchange request. When a service is ever
required, our customers can have peace of mind knowing that a brand new pair of SUMMIT binoculars will be sent
from Zen-Ray Optics for a small nominal fee. When you compare this to $50/hr service fee most optics repair
shops typically charge, you know this is another great service provided by Zen-Ray. The best part of it: you most
likely never have to spend that money and use this service after all.
Q. What if I don't remember my original order number?
A. Please provide us as much detailed information as possible. Our friendly staff will assist you to locate the order
information in our system to validate the certificate status.
Q. How long does it take for Zen-Ray Optics to send out the replacement binocular?
A. Upon receiving your original binoculars and all necessary paperwork, it typically takes 2-3 business days for a
replacement binocular to be authorized. We will ship the binoculars out by USPS Priority Mail, which takes 2-3
days to deliver. So it takes only about a week for you to receive the replacement item.
