Douglas Hansen, principle author of the Code Check series of field guides to building
codes, will be our featured speaker on Saturday, May 4. His talk will be on plumbing
systems, and will cover the latest plumbing products and code issues. The presentation
is customized for California home inspectors. The topics that will be covered include fixtures, piping systems
(including PEX and CPVC), standards for solder and solvents, lead, water heaters (including tankless), water
conservation, drains, suds relief, vent systems, cleanouts, and water supply protection. Basic differences
between residential and commercial plumbing system will also be included.

reservations at our group rate is April 13, 2013, so don’t delay. The special

CANCELLATION POLICY
Refunds (less a $50 cancellation fee) are available until April 5, 2013. Full refund if
CREIA cancels the program. NO refunds for cancellation requests received after April
5, 2013. All cancellations must be received in writing.
SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS
The seminar facilities are accessible to the physically disabled. Requests for
accommodations for the disabled should be made at the time of registration, but

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS
AIRPORT
The Ontario International Airport (ONT) is just 1.5 miles from the Doubletree Hotel
Ontario Airport. The hotel provides free shuttle service to or from the airport. Taxi,
shuttle and rental car service is available at the airport.
RENTAL CAR
