Alstom has been in Taiwan for more than 35 years. It is a major supplier of signalling system to Taiwan metro lines.

Alstom currently has 3 offices in Taipei and 2 major signalling projects under execution in 2 cities of Taiwan: Taipei and Taichung.

Alstom has provided signalling system to all metro lines in Taipei MRT Network except the Brown Line.

Currently, Alstom has 40 employees in Taiwan.
History
1980:
Execution of the Electrification of the Taipei-Kaohsiung Line for Taiwan Railway Administration in Taiwan.
1990:
Establishment of Alstom Transport Signalling Inc. Taiwan Branch with the signature of Taipei Red/Green Lines Signalling Contract.
1994:
Award of contract of Taipei MRT Blue and Orange Line signalling project.
1997:
Start of the revenue service of Taipei Red & Green Line Project, first phase.
1998:
Start of the revenue service of Taipei MRT Blue & Orange Line Project, first phase.
1999:
Start of the revenue service of Taipei MRT Red & Green Line Project, last phase.
2000:
Start of the revenue service of Taipei MRT Blue & Orange Line, last phase.
2000:
Award of contract of Taipei MRT Blue line extension signalling project (revenue service in 2006).
2003:
Establishment of Alstom Transport SA Taiwan Branch with the signature of the first turnkey project: Orange & Blue Line
Extension (OBLEX).
2004:
Award of contract of Taipei DORTS 321 Signaling project.
2005:
Award of contract of Taipei OCC Singaling project with ICONIS system in Taiwan (completed in 2013).

Partnerships
Through its strong presence in Taiwan, Alstom has built trustful relationship with its customer, Systemwide E&M Project Office
(SEMPO) in Taiwan. In addition, at project level, Alstom historically partner with CTCI (Taiwanese company) and Kawasaki as
consortium for metro projects.
Awards and Certification
Alstom Taiwan is part of Alstom global certifications, such as ISO-9001 and CMMI Level 3. It participates actively into the periodic
audit of these international certifications. For example, in December 2014, Taichung Green Line (Taiwan) passed the CMMi L3
evaluation, which contributed to the overall Alstom CMMi L3 certification process in Asia and Pacific region.
