FIRE DRILL
The fire warning is a short pulsating tone. Be sure to close all windows and doors (if you have one). Secure emergency clipboard. Children silently walk single file to exit route.
If an entrance is blocked, go to an alternative exit. Walk 200 feet away from the building and line up. Every staff member should take attendance during this drill. You will be notified by the outside bell or an “all clear” announcement when the drill is over.
Staff members should follow the plan to escort handicap staff or students out of the building during the fire alarm or to the fire assistance area. The rescue assistant system only operates when the fire alarm system is in alarm. The secretary will be near the communication box near the entryway to await any calls.
Upper Level
1.
Rooms 200, 201, 202, go down staircase (A) exit front doors (#1).
2.
Rooms 203, 204, 207 go down staircase (A) exit front doors (#1).
3.
Rooms 210, 211, 212, 213 go down staircase (E) and exit door (#2).
4.
Rooms 214, 215, 216, 223, 224 go down staircase (C) and exit door (#3).
5.
Rooms 222, 225, 226, 227, 228 go down staircase (B) exit door (#4).
Lower Level
1.
Rooms 111, 112, 113 exit door (#4).
2.
Rooms 114, 115, 116 exit door (#3).
3.
Rooms 122, 123, 124, 125, 129 exit door (#3).
4.
Rooms 126, 127, 128 exit door (#2).
5.
Rooms 134, 135, 139 (REACH), and 140 exit out of the main entrance doors (#1).
6.
Rooms 136, 137, 138 exit out of the main entrance doors (#1).
7.
Room 104(Gym) exit gym doors. Line up on the blacktop pass the playground equipment near the basketball courts.
8.
Room 105 (Music) exit playground doors (#5).
9.
Room 100C, 100F, 100G, 100H, 100J exit playground entrance (#5.)
10.
Room 100A, 100E exit out the main entrance doors (#1).
200 feet away from the building:
Front door (#1) near the office to the marquee sign.
Side door (#2) near rooms 128 & 134 is to the main sidewalk crossing the bus lane.
Rear door (#3) near rooms 115 &122 is to the stop sign.
Rear door (#4) last light pole in the middle island of the staff parking lot.
Playground doors (#5) near room 105 & Gym to the basketball courts.
