Overview
ZoneSafe is an audible visual proximity
warning and detection system that fits on
to vehicles, machinery, fixed objects and
around exclusion zones.
ZoneSafe provides an early warning to
vehicle and machine operators when
personnel encroach or breach a proximity
zone, blind spot or danger area.
ZoneSafe helps organisations to improve
safety and reduce the risk of vehicle/person
and vehicle/asset incidents and collisions.

About ZoneSafe®
The ZoneSafe Proximity Warning System
offers a cost effective solution to reduce
the risk of vehicle/person incidents.
Using active RFID technology the system
fits easily on to vehicles, machinery or
around areas of concern and includes an
in cab control unit, proximity antennas
and personal safety transponders.
ZoneSafe is suitable for most industrial
vehicles from forklift trucks and compact
machinery to large industrial vehicles
such as reach stackers, excavators and
loaders.
Using specially designed proximity
antennas, a 360° circumferential
detection zone is setup around a vehicle
or area of concern.
Personal Safety Transponders or PST’s
are worn by all personnel. When a PST
enters or breaches the detection zone
an audible and visual alarm from the in
cab control unit is triggered to warn the
operator.
The in cab control unit also includes
internal memory to store event data, an
alarm mute function, indicator LEDs and
the option to fit an external sounder.
A number of options and accessories
are available to ensure the best
possible solution and to provide easy
management of the ZoneSafe system.
Including PST Check Point units, touch
screen location display, extended range
antennas, software tools and cloud
based applications.

a vehicle.
Systems
The ZoneSafe family consists of two main proximity
warning systems suitable for most industrial vehicles.
These include ZoneSafe Compact and ZoneSafe Standard.
Standard
Compact
The standard system provides a single
proximity detection zone using multiple
antennas suitable for large industrial
vehicles such as reach stackers,
excavators and loaders.
The compact system provides a single
proximity detection zone using one
antenna designed for small industrial
vehicles such as forklift trucks and
compact machinery.

The ZoneSafe system comprises the following

Proximity Antenna
Control Unit
A Proximity detection zone is setup using
proximity antenna units which provide a
configurable 360° circumferential detection
area between 3-9 meters. Depending on the
machine type and size, single or multiple
antenna configurations can be utilized to
provide the best coverage and detection area.
The systems control unit is located near
the machine operator and provides a local
audible visual alert.

PST Check Point
Management & Analytics
The PST check point enables users to
quickly and easily check the status of their
PST and know it is good to use.
Event log data stored in the control unit can
be viewed and analyzed using ZoneSafe
Analytics. Viewing and analyzing detection
events is useful to identify problems and for
training purposes.
