Derm School
All delegate fees are inclusive of entrance to all educational
meetings, delegate bag, entrance to exhibition area and all
refreshment breaks.The Conference Dinner and Awards is
also included in the delegate fee
We will be holding our 4th Derm School on Thursday
23 June as part of our Conference.This is specifically
aimed at those new to dermatology and student nurses.
The registration fee is only £20 and more information is
available on the website.

Registration
We encourage delegates to register online for both the
conference and accommodation. A link is on the BDNG
website. Alternatively, complete the form overleaf and
return to Events in Partnership at the given address.
Abstracts
Abstracts should be submitted for consideration for the
Scientific Session and Poster Display. All accepted poster
authors will be required to produce a hard copy of
their poster and these will be on display throughout the
Conference. Chosen oral abstracts will be allocated a 10-15
minute slot. Prizes will be awarded for the Best Oral and
Best Poster presentations.The closing date for abstracts
is 25 March 2016. Instructions to submit abstracts can be
found on the BDNG website.The winning poster will be
published in Dermatological Nursing. Other papers and
posters may also be published.
Please submit papers on any topic of your choosing;
possible suggestions include:

8 Unusual cases
8 The history of dermatology care
8 A review of practice
8 An example of Practice Development
Conference Awards
Awards of £500 each are available to assist members in
attending this conference. Application forms can be found
on the BDNG website. Closing date for applications is 25
March 2016.
Foot Dermatology
Following on from the success of Foot Dermatology 2015,
we will be holding another one-day Foot Dermatology
programme on 22-23 June as part of our Annual
Conference. Information will be available on the BDNG
website soon.
HCA Conference
To meet the educational needs for Healthcare Assistants,
we will be holding a one-day interactive conference on
Wednesday 22 June as part of our Annual Conference.
Areas covered will include:
8 Skin assessment
8 Topical corticosteroids
8 HCA role in surgery
8 Lower leg tissue viability
8 Topical treatments in dermatology
The registration fee is only £20 and more information is on
the website.
Exhibition
An exhibition will run alongside the Annual Conference for
all delegates. It will be open from
Tuesday 21 June 1000 – 1830
Wednesday 22 June
0830 – 1700
Thursday 23 June
0830 – 1530
All refreshments will be served in the Exhibition Hall.

Train
Just 1 hour 45 minutes from London and around 2 hours
from Bristol and Brighton. Fast train services also offer
regular direct connections to and from other major UK
business centres. Bournemouth Interchange coach, bus and
train station is about 5 minutes from the venue by bus, or
half an hour’s walk.
Air
Scheduled and charter flights to major UK and European
business centres operate from nearby Bournemouth
International and Southampton airports, with London
Heathrow and Gatwick airports just 2 hours away by road
or rail. Bournemouth International Airport is a short drive
away on the A338 (Wessex Way) or approximately 20
minutes by express bus.

Social events
A Welcome Drinks Reception will be held on Tuesday 21
June from 1700-1830 in the Exhibition Hall. All delegates
and exhibitors are invited.
The Annual Dinner and Awards will be held on
Wednesday 22 June in the Bournemouth Pavilion Ballroom,
conveniently located close to the conference centre.
The cost of attending the dinner is included in delegate
registration fees.The evening commences with a drinks
reception; the BDNG Awards will be presented after dinner,
followed by entertainment.
Accommodation
Events in Partnership have been appointed as the official
accommodation booking agency and will be dealing with
all delegate hotel bookings. A range of hotels have been
reserved. Delegates are advised to book accommodation
early in order to secure first choices.

Booking terms and conditions
Payments
All delegates must pay the registration fee prior to arrival at
conference. Bookings received less than two weeks before
the conference and onsite can only be paid by cheque or
credit card.
Cancellations and substitutions
A refund, less a 20% administration fee, will be made if
cancellations are received, in writing, at least 4 weeks before
the conference. Any cancellations after this cannot be
refunded. Delegates may nominate an alternative person to

attend up to 48 hours before the conference. No refunds
will be given for failure to attend the conference.
Registration confirmation
All bookings will be confirmed by email. Please contact us if
you have not received confirmation 10 days after submitting
your booking.
Alterations to programme
The BDNG reserves the right to amend any part of the
conference programme at any time.
Liability
The BDNG does not accept responsibility for damages of

their personal property as a result of the conference.
