+ New HART diagnostics package
The new diagnostics package for the Rosemount 5400 monitors the relationship
between the surface echo, surface threshold and noise level in the tank in order
to detect abnormal process conditions such as antenna coating or foam. Planning preventive
maintenance and avoiding process upsets/shutdowns are now easier than ever.
+ Solids measurement capability
The new Rosemount 5402 is designed to overcome the challenges of obtaining reliable solids
measurements where there are angled and uneven product surfaces, multiple surface echoes
and low dielectric products. The air purging connection enhances performance in dusty
environments. The Rosemount 5402 is also compatible with the Rosemount 2140 Tank Hub
enabling auto detection and configuration of the Rosemount 5402 by the 2410.
+ Open air applications
The high frequency Rosemount 5402 is ideal for open air type applications such as pond,
river and dam levels, over plastic tanks and floating roofs. Its narrow beamwidth helps avoid
obstacles and produces a stronger return signal.

changes. It integrates easily with 2-wire
communication and avoids internal
obstructions while still keeping good level
measurement.
+ Dusty environments do not pose a problem for Rosemount Non-
Contacting Radar. The air purging option on the Rosemount 5402 enhances performance in dusty conditions.
