Early Bird Special: $5 discount if ordered by Friday, September 23. These are beautiful, handcrafted mums made with pride by Cougar Band parents for the entire school. Sales are during lunch. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday we are in the Main Commons. Tuesday and Thursday in the 9th Grade Cafeteria. Attendance Parents are asked to remind their children they must sign out through attendance when leaving campus for ANY reason unless they are going to Miller Career or have work release in their schedule (for example, Dr. appointments, leaving early, etc.). If students do not sign out prior to leaving, they will be considered truant and will have a discipline notice write up. Bravo Show Choir Production The Cinco Ranch High School Bravo Show Choir presents Rogers and Hammerstein’s “A Grand Night for Singing” on September 29, 30 and October 1 at 7:30pm in the Cinco Ranch High School Performing Arts Center. Advance tickets are priced at $8 and are available from Bravo members, in the CRHS Choir Room, by calling 281-237-5203/281-237-5204 or emailing melanieppiche@katyisd.org. Tickets sold at the door are $10. The Katy ISD Gold Card will be honored with a $5 ticket price. The box office opens at 6:30pm and the house at 7:00pm. This is an open seating event. “A Grand Night for Singing” is a musical revue showcasing the music of Rogers and Hammerstein. Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie, has given a fresh take to the music of these classic composers. The show opened on Broadway in 1994, and received 2 Tony nominations including Best Musical. It features different interpretations of favorite Rogers and Hammerstein songs. A guy sings about his “problem with Maria”, and “I’m Gonna Wash that Man Right Out of My Hair” has a real Andrews Sisters feel. “Honeybun” and “Kansas City” are also among the many songs featured in the show. Come enjoy singing and dancing to the music of Rogers and Hammerstein. You will leave “A Grand Night for Singing” with a smile on your face, humming its wonderful tunes! Theatre Production Come rock out at Cinco Ranch Theatre Company’s production of Rock of Ages: High School Edition by Chris D’Arienzo. Featuring some of the greatest hits of the 80s, we follow a small town girl, Sherrie, and a city boy, Drew, as they chase their dreams of making it. Show dates will be October 13 and 14 at 7:30pm and October 15 at 1:30pm and 7:30pm in the Cinco Ranch High School Performing Arts Center. The box office opens on October 3 and can be reached at 281-237-5290 Monday-Friday from 10:00am-3:00pm. Tickets will be sold in advance for $15 for adults and $11 for students and Gold Card Members. Homecoming Parade: Lassoing Cougar Pride The 2nd Annual Cinco Ranch Homecoming Parade will be Monday, October 17 at 6:00pm! The parade is sponsored by the Cinco Ranch Athletic Booster Club and is open to all clubs and students. This year we have a new parade route winding from CRHS, down Commercial Boulevard and then onto Cinco Village Center Drive and returning to CRHS. Floats cannot exceed 40 feet in length, 10 feet in width and 13 feet in height. Please make sure your vehicle can navigate all turns on parade route. School dress code is in effect for all participants. Floats and decorations are at the at the expense of the club/organization. Floats may not be housed at the high school. Items may NOT be THROWN from vehicles, but can be handed to spectators. Sponsor or approved parent needs to supervise all students of float. KISD student code of conduct rules apply at all times. The sponsor and principal must approve all floats. Please attach a copy of the insurance card for the vehicle that will be pulling the float.
