Exact cross: Zetex ZHCS750 ! Close cross: Rohm RB491D Philips BAT720 BAT750 Surpasses Its Competition Zetex ZHCS750: Our typical VF @ IF > 750mA is lower - Typ VF @ IF = 1.0A: Diodes: 420mV, Zetex: 440mV - Typ VF @ IF = 1.5A: Diodes: 475mV, Zetex: 530mV Rohm RB491D: Our BVR is higher (40V vs. 25V) Our IR is lower (100µA max @ VR=30V vs. 200µA max @ VR=20V Our package is smaller (SOT-23 vs. SC-59) Philips BAT720: Our current rating is higher (750mA vs. 500mA) Our max VF @ IF=500mA is lower (420mV vs. 550mV) Our IFSM is higher (5.5A @ 8.3ms vs. 2.0A @ 10ms) Our RθJA is lower (286°C/W vs. 500°C/W) Customer Benefits Zetex ZHCS750: Our product is more efficient when forward biased at IF≥ 500mA. On battery powered devices such as PDA’s, cell phones, and laptop computers this could equate to longer battery life. Rohm RB491D: Higher BVR may allow the customer to use our part in some higher voltage applications where they can’t use Rohm. Lower IR may equate to less power consumption and/or longer battery life in some applications. Smaller package consumes less PCB real estate which can result in a lower cost for the PCB, or allow the customer to fit more traces and/or components onto their PCB. Philips BAT720: Higher current rating means the device has a larger safe operating area for forward operation than Philips. Lower VF means our device is more efficient in forward operation, which could equate to longer battery life in battery powered applications. Higher IFSM rating means the device may withstand larger current transients which frequently occur during power-up and power-shut off conditions. Lower RθJA means our device will not get as hot as Philips when passing an equal amount of current under equivalent heat sinking schemes or with equivalent PCB layouts. This also represents a larger safe operating area for forward operation. _____________________________________________________________________________________________ For more information, contact the Sales Department at www.diodes.com Diodes Incorporated Tel (805) 446-4800 / Fax (805) 446-4850
