Position: Cal South Coaching Education Coordinator The Organization The California State Soccer Association – South (Cal South) is the premier state association of United States Youth Soccer (USYSA), United States Adult Soccer (USASA) and the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), representing over 10,300 teams and 137,000 players, coaches and league administrators throughout Southern California. Cal South’s teams and players have excelled at every level, winning more national championships and placing more players on U.S. National Teams than any other state association in the country. Our service area extends from San Diego to San Luis Obispo and we provide comprehensive soccer programming for boys and girls from 5 years of age and up. General Position Description The Cal South Coaching Education Coordinator serves as the point person for all administrative & customer service responsibilities as it relates to the Coaching Education Program. This includes successful streamlining of the promotion, administration, communication and onsite coordination of all Cal South Coaching Education courses and events. The Coaching Education Coordinator reports to and works directly with the Cal South Director of Coaching & Player Development in fulfillment of all duties and will be responsible for direct coordination with accounting and other Cal South departments to ensure success therein. Position Responsibilities Professional Administration of all Coaching Education related activities which include all courses and member team related communications, collection of fees and appropriate accounting therein, and acting as the staff liaison for all Coaching Education inquiries. Ensures successful administrative reporting fulfillment for all Coaching Education Staff and Scouts prior to reimbursement. Works with the Marketing Department to ensure appropriate and accurate posting of information relating to all Cal South Coaching Education related programs. Leads expansion & development of new Coaching Education initiatives commensurate with Cal South strategic plan. Attends soccer related workshops if necessary in fulfillment of duties Develops and maintains working relationships with Cal South Member Organizations, US Youth Soccer, US Adult Soccer, US Soccer and Region IV. Required Qualifications and Desired Skills Knowledge and experience in soccer is desired but not necessary. High standards and experience as it relates to customer service. Must be exceptionally organized and possess excellent verbal, phone and written communication skills. Demonstrated skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with diverse individuals and organizations. Demonstrated success in implementing strategic business plans, forecasting, analysis and budgeting to meet unique challenges and growth opportunities of programs. Compensation The Cal South Coaching Education Coordinator is a full time direct hire hourly position Monday-Friday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm with excellent full health benefits and 401(k) with compensation to be commensurate with skills and experience.
