Midi over WiFi connection Wireless router or WiFi box Sequencer Virtual Instruments Synths Mac OS X • On the iPad, open the Midi menu on the top right application toolbar and select the Midi Out "Network Session". • On the Mac, go to the Applications folder, then "Utilities" folder and open the application "Audio Midi Setup". • In Audio Midi Setup, choose Window > Show Midi Window, then double-click the network icon in the window Midi Studio. ChordPolyPad 18 • On the left side of the Midi Network Setup window, click the Add button (+) button below the "My Sessions"to create a Session. • At the bottom of the window, under "Who may connect to me" select "Anyone". • Below "Directory", you should see the name of your iPad. Select it and click "Connect". If your iPad does not appear, make sure it is connected to the same WiFi network as your computer. Your iPad is now connected, Midi In/Out are visible on your computer under the name of the session you just created, the default name is "Session 1". As long as you do not change the Bonjour name from the session, ChordPolyPad will automatically reconnect to your computer. When using multiple computers, the application retains the last used connection and attempts to find those that are available to reconnect automatically. ChordPolyPad 19 Windows and Linux To use the wireless Midi connection (Network Session) on Windows or Linux, you must install a RTP Midi compatible driver. For more information on this protocol, please visit the following page: http://www.cs.berkeley.edu/~lazzaro/rtpmidi/ The installation should be similar to that described for Mac OS X above. IMPORTANT: When using RTP Midi on Windows or Linux, please disable "Midi Network auto connect" in the "Setup" Midi menu that is not compatible with some drivers (notes not played , loss of sync, ...).
