Operating since 1993, Wolff GmbH specialises in the manufacture
of CONFORM®medical air cushion systems. Today the German
made CONFORM® products are exported worldwide.
Comfort & Skin Protection
CONFORM® cushions offer the very highest seating comfort and
are designed to be used for the prevention and treatment of
pressure sores (Levels I-IV).
Design & Composition
Both the design and composition of CONFORM® cushions have
been developed to maximize the user’s comfort and skin
protection.
The design of the interlinking air cells reduces pressure build up
and allows for the optimal distribution of pressure. By imitating
the positive characteristics of water the air cells adjust to the
body’s natural contours preventing shearing and consequently
occurrences of tissue distortion and damage.
The use of natural rubber offers a variety of benefits including:
•Extreme flexibility. Natural rubber maintains its elasticity
even at low temperatures proving flexible and a highly
reliable pressure care system
•Non-allergenic
•Convenient microclimate to minimise sweating and to be
gentle on the skin
•Its special characteristics allow the upper and lower plate
to be joined by vulcanisation (not by gluing) thus avoiding
unstable adhesive bonds and offering a much more reliable
product.

Registered by the Therapeutic Goods Administration, CONFORM®
cushions are produced in Germany according to strict industry
quality controls. Cushions come with a 3 year service guarantee.
Ecologically Friendly
Natural rubber is a renewable resource and products are fully
biodegradable.
Washable
Both the cushion and the cushion cover are machine washable. They
can also be easily cleaned with disinfection tissues and spray.

Heights Explained
5cm high cushions are mainly used to increase seating comfort
or as prophylactic cushions.
7.5cm high cushions offer a high standard of seating comfort,
but also have a noticeable therapeutic effect due to the high
level of pressure relief.
Adaptability & Stability
10cm high cushions serve the highest pressure relief as an
effective instrument in decubitus ulcers.
CONFORM® cushions are available in a variety of sizes and
specifications in order to cater for factors like weight, body shape,
condition of the skin, disability type and clothes.

Valves Explained
•All standard seat sizes
•3 various seat heights (5; 7.5; 10cm) allowing for factors
like height and weight
•1, 2 and 4-valve versions allowing seating comfort and
stability to be optimised
•A 4-chamber version with central valve to aid accessibility
for care professionals, therapists and rehab technicians
(specifically for patients with extreme asymmetries)
The cushions can be easily adjusted through the inflation of the
valves. The decision about the cushion height and the number
chambers / valves should be made by specialists like doctors or
therapists.
The 1-valve cushion serves the best pressure relief since the
pressure can be distributed over the seating-surface.
The 2- and 4-valve cushions are suitable for patients with physical
disabilities affecting balance such as amputations of lower
extremtities, scoliosis and neurological changes by stroke. The
cushions can be adjusted to the individual requirements
of the body using the valves. Therefore it possible to reach a
straight and physiological sitting position without physical fatigue
and without falling forwards / sideways.
