Campus Academic Senates- 2 u u “To provide adequate communications with the faculties of the campuses, the Academic Senate,CSU shall circulate to the senate and president of each campus such materials as agendas for and minutes of its meetings, committee reports, and information on pending matters.” Campus academic senate chairs meet four times a year with the Executive Committee and standing committee chairs to exchange information and to discuss common issues of concern. Senate and CFA Relationships u u The Higher Education Employer-Employee Relations Atc (HEERA) states the following: “’scope of representation’ (role of CFA) means and is limited to wages, hours of employment, and other terms and conditions of employment.” Senate and CFA Relationships-2 u u HERA also states: “The academic senates and trustees have joint responsibility specifically for criteria and standards for appointment, promotion, evaluation and tenure, but…CFA has ‘the right to consult and be consulted on thse matters.’” “Communications from academic senates to the CSU, or to the CSU and CFA, expressing opinions or seeking consultation on matters within scope are not prohibited. To the contray they are clearly permitted.”
