ISOLATING HANGING STRAP KIT BOLT Designed to suspend a horizontal or vertical fancoil. Nylon reinforced rubber gives the Strap Kit the strength to hold the Fancoil unit and the PRM with connected lines sets. The nylon straps will absorb most of the vibration generated by the fancoil system. 5/16 WASHER 1/4” LOCK NUT x8 x8 24” NYLON STRAP 1/2” SELF TAPPING SCREW METAL FLANGE x16 x8 x8 x4 Figure 1 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Fancoil Unit Only: 1. Attach the metal flanges to the four facing corners of the fancoil unit. . (see Figure 2) 2. Measure the distance apart from the metal flanges and mark the joists. If the joists are too far apart a cross 2"x4" can be used. 3. Cut a ¼" hole 1" from the end of the nylon straps, slide the 1¼" bolt into the hole of the metal flange then into the nylon strap, finish with the washer and nut. Complete this at one end of each of the nylon straps. (see Figure 3) 4. At the other end of the nylon strap, measure and mark the desired height for the fancoil (4" or more). Cut a ¼" hole 1" from the end of the nylon straps, install the nylon straps to the joist using the end with the metal flanges. Figure 2 1” 5. Lift the fancoil unit and slide the bolt into the metal flange located on the unit through the nylon strap, finish with the washer and nut. Figure 3 Fancoil Unit with Cooling Coil: 1. Attach the cooling coil to fancoil unit. Attach the metal flanges to the four facing corners of the fancoil and cooling coil assembly. (see Figure 5) 2. Follow steps 2 - 5 as above. OR Connect Cooling Coil and Fancoil together first (see drawing FAC-101) www.pavilionair.com Figure 5 Figure 4 Drawing: IHS-301(P) Date: 01/04
