Some courses require that you also be registered in another course or courses along with it.
These are called “Concurrent Requisites”.
Courses, such as those in the sciences that have different Course Code numbers for their lectures, labs, and recitations are examples of “concurrent requisites”.
To prevent a registration error when you attempt to register for these courses, make sure to place a check in the Add check ‐ box for each required concurrent requisite before you click the
ADD COURSES button.
For example, perform a Course Search for all courses in the Physics Department.
Then check the Add check ‐ box for:
PHYS
PHYS

206L

04
(this

PHYS 206R 03 (this is a physics recitation)
…..AND
THEN CLICK THE ADD COURSES BUTTON AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE.
Making Changes to Concurrent Courses
If you wish to change any one of your concurrent requisite courses will need to drop all the concurrent requisites and re ‐ add them.
For example if you want to change just your lab but not the lecture, you must drop both the lab and the lecture and then re ‐ add the lecture along with the newly desired lab.
Dealing with Closed Concurrent Requisites
Do not exit registration until you are properly registered for all required concurrent requisites.
If your lecture is open and your first choice lab is closed, register for your second choice lab so that you meet all the “concurrent” requirements.
If you exit registration after registering only for a lecture without a lab, or vice versa, you will be contacted via your
Bellarmine email address and given 24 hours to correct your registration.
Failure to respond will result in your course being dropped.
