fan control
The digital fan control controls the speed of one or two 12 V fans according to
the temperature which is measured by a sensor.
The setup of the minimum and maximum temperature is done by a 6-pin
switch (SW1). Each 3-pin block of the switch defines one of the 2 temperatures.
Therefore the user can choose between 8 temperatures of the start and the
end of the temperature range. In the defined temperature range the power
of the fan is controlled between 20% and 100%. The digital parameter setup
without tuning ensures an easy installation.

Sensor connector SV1
The sensor for the speed control can be connected between pin 1 and pin 2 of
SV1 or between pin 2 and pin 5 of SV3.
The sensor is a NTC-resistor.
Alarm connector SV2
If the maximum temperature exceeds, the pin 1 of the alarm connector is set
to GND by the open-collector-driver.

Fan modulee connector SV3
SV3 is for the connection of the fan, the integrated LED and the temperature
sensor. The sensor is connected to pin 1 and pin 3, the LED to pin 2 and pin 4
and the fan motor to pin 3 and pin 6.
Connector for the second fan module SV4
The second fan motor can be operate on pin 3 and on pin 4 and the according
LED on pin 1 and on pin 2.
Power supply connection SV5
Power is supplied via pin 3 and pin 4 of SV5 for the digital fan control and the
fan. (It is compatible to the ATX power supply.)

The proper operation of the fan function is displayed by a LED.
If the LED is ON, the fan operates properly. If the temperature exceeds the
maximum temperature by more than 2 °C, the LED starts flashing.
An open-collector-alarm-output can be used to signal the too high
temperature to a computer.
Thereby the user can profit of an advanced thermal management without
developing software.
