OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

IP44 rated spray-resistant, safe to use in greenhouse environment, it is not waterproof and care should be taken not to soak or immerse the timer.

Heavy-duty plug-in timer: internal switching components are rated at

22(8) A (higher than the 13 amp fuse in a UK plugged appliance).

The timer is an electromechanical interval type, 24 hours being divided into 15 minute segments. The timer can be set for a single or for multiple on/off periods within 24 hours.

1) Set up the timer - before plugging it in to the electricity supply.

2) Setting ON/OFF times

The outer ring of the dial houses the programming on/off controls

(tappets), each tappet representing an interval of 15 minutes; these are individual timer setting buttons. For example, to set your lights to come on between 10am and 10pm you depress all the segments between those times on the dial (to reset the timer pull the segments back up towards the front).

3) Setting current time.

The outer dial should be set to show the present time. Rotate the outer dial in a clockwise direction until the correct hour and minutes are indicated by the black arrowhead printed on the central part of the control dial. Note that the outer dial is marked with the 24 hour clock eg

11.00 am = 11 on the dial. 11:00 pm

= 23 on the dial.

4) Connecting your appliance

Plug your timer into the electric supply and then your reflector into the timer. The outer ring rotates during operation, the present time always indicated by the triangle shaped symbol.
