smoke, and residues. Sinorix 1230 acts rapidly with superior extinguishing properties,
causing no damage to your equipment.

Sinorix 1230 is an innovative solution
that reduces the risk of fire damage
in critical applications and sensitive
equipment. At a proper system design
concentration the extinguishing agent
3M™ Novec™ 1230 Fire Protection Fluid
absorbs sufficient heat to upset the balance of the fire. This cooling effect is
supported by the oxygen reduction in the
flame due to the volumetric expansion of
the molecules.
The high efficiency of the Sinorix 1230
system allows using a low extinguishing
concentration. As a result, you need to
store only a relatively small amount of
the extinguishing agent to safely protect
rooms.

Additionally, the minimum 10 bar at
the nozzle concept used by Siemens
ensures fast and full evaporation of
the Novec 1230 fluid, minimizing
extinguishing times.

Compact system designs are possible
as Sinorix 1230 works with the Novec
1230 fluid which offers the lowest extinguishing concentration of all currently
authorized extinguishing agents. Fewer
containers and less space are needed for
installation and storage due to the lower

The 3M™ Novec™ 1230 Fire Protection Fluid is the latest generation of chemical
extinguishing agents, without negative impact on assets, people, and the envi­
ronment. It has a very high safety margin, one of the lowest GWP, a very short
atmospheric lifetime, and no impact at all on the ozone layer.
Global warming potential

The Novec 1230 fluid is non-corrosive and
non-conductive, which means it does not
damage high value assets such as delicate
electronics (see fig. 1). It is also harmless
to people’s health. Its low acute toxicity,
combined with low design concentrations, gives the Novec 1230 fluid the
widest margin of safety compared to
halocarbon agents, CO₂ or inert gas
mixtures. This makes the Novec 1230
fluid ideal for spaces that are normally
or occasionally occupied.
