Game Day Tailgating

Now offering the ideal way to tailgate that you can count on for every home game!

Reserve the space you want with a guaranteed area to tailgate and enjoy on game day with your friends and family.

To secure a space within designated Tailgating Lots and Trails, reservations must be made in advance with a $10 refundable reservation fee. Notice of cancellation is required 48 hours prior to game kick-off. Non-compliance will result in the full charge of the reservation fee.

Tailgating without reservations will be allowed, but will be on a first-come, first-served basis and dependent on lot/trail availability, three hours before game starts.

Tailgating is not allowed in parking garages at any time.

Game Day Parking

All garages as well as Lot 5 are available for general parking. We strongly encourage visitors to park in the Blue Garage, Panther Garage, or Lot 5 as these are the closest to the stadium. However, tailgating is not permitted in these areas.

VIP & Disabled Parking will continue to be within the Platinum Lot (lot south of the stadium).

Game Day Guidelines

All designated Tailgating Lots and Trails will be open according to the schedule below until two hours following the conclusion of the game or midnight (whichever comes first), except for weekday games where the tailgating area will open 4 hours before the game starts. However, there are specific timelines for each game as it relates in the university’s tailgating and open-container waiver hours. o For mid-day games (i.e., games starting prior to 4 p.m.), the university’s open-container waiver will be in effect 4 hours prior to game start through the end of tailgating hours. For evening games (i.e., games starting after 5 p.m.), the university’s open-container waiver will be in effect 6 hours prior to game start through the end of tailgating hours. Except for weekday games where the 4 hours open-container waiver will apply.

Tailgating will close down 45 minutes prior to kick-off. University Police as well as

Parking & Transportation personnel will be walking through all tailgate areas prior to kick-off to ensure compliance.

Parking & Transportation events portal. (link)

 Any official university tailgates (e.g., Office of Alumni Relations & Annual

Giving, Office of Orientation & Parent Programs, etc.) – as long as pre-approved by the Parking & Transportation events office – are exempt from the aforementioned alcohol regulations.

 Due to the expected increased number of visitors for the Homecoming game, some minor accommodations to this policy may be made. Any changes will be communicated to students, employees, alumni, and season ticket holders no later than 1 week prior.
