Also, the factory has developed a direct business-to-business relationship with OEM customers located primarily in USA and Europe. Who we are looking for For this position, we are looking for someone who has: Thorough working knowledge of quality systems methods and quality engineering practices (APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC,PPAP, Root Cause Analysis, Lean manufacturing concepts, etc.) Demonstrated experience in performing assessments of new and existing suppliers Strong planning, organization, analytical, and problem solving skills Strong written and verbal communications skills Strong interpersonal skills (e.g., tact/diplomacy, listening, negotiation, consulting). Knowledge and experience with software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office) including presentation and database application • • • • • • Job description As Supplier Quality Engineer, your responsibilities are to: • • • • • • • • • Be responsible for establishing, maintaining and improving the OEM suppliers quality assurance and development system Conduct Husqvarna OEM suppliers FSQA audit and drive OEM suppliers to improve audit non-conformity items and close them on time Guide suppliers in OEM projects APQP and PPAP activities mile stone review (such as EP, MP &SOP, etc.) at supplier site, make sure all of the open issues were closed before project move to next stage Attend weekly conference call with global project/SQE team on project progress, APQP, PPAP, quality issues and supplier improvement status review Support OEM suppliers quality issues solving and 8D reports, communicate with global SQEs and suppliers to clearly understand quality issues and work with supplier to identify true root cause, take containment, preventive actions and to follow up to make sure they are closed on time Review OEM suppliers manufacturing process to make sure they are following control plans and identify potential risks to ask suppliers take necessary preventive/poka-yoka actions in advance. Review OEM suppliers’ quality performance and drive them to achieve Husqvarna PPM target Work with Husqvarna global SQEs/project engineers for OEM suppliers visiting and drive supplier to improve issues and close them on time Manage internal customer relationships and coordinate with Commodity Management and Advanced Purchasing the selection, assessment and approval of supplier and parts. Work with suppliers and related company department to achieve all individual KPIs. Requirements • • • • • • • • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant discipline Minimum 10 years of experience working with OEM suppliers’ quality related topics and manufacturing engineering experience in relevant area. Have good working experience on two or four stroke engine, electrical garden products manufacturing and test process. Possession of recognized qualification in quality engineering, audit processes and relevant certifications (e.g. Six Sigma) is of a clear advantage With professional knowledge or background on mechanical or related field. Understand and familiar with manufacturing process on die-casting, stamping, punching, welding, forging, sintering, heat treatment, machining those areas and quality control is of a clear advantage Quality assurance, supplier development, and general manufacturing engineering experience is of a clear advantage Fluency in English is required (written and oral), other language is an advantage No problem in Mandarin, both quick writing and reading Other information Location: Shanghai Contact: For inquiries and to apply, please contact career@growhr.com
