Provide all labour, materials, products, equipment and services to provide the carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon detection and control systems indicated on the Drawings and specified in this Section of the Specifications.

Meet requirements of Control Diagram CD-____ Section 25 50 00.

PART 2 - PRODUCTS

2.1. (TRUCK DOCK) AREA

.1 Packaged, compact, self-contained instrument with electro chemical sensor for monitoring ambient air for carbon monoxide CO, and providing output signal to exhaust fan start/stop relay, output alarm to ECMS and power input 120/1/60. Provide equipment complete with audible and visual alarm, and CO indicating meter.

Sampling System:

.1 A completely integrated highly rugged sampling system designed to include solenoid valves for sample switching, rugged pump with bypass for continuous sample flow, with all necessary hardware such as flowmeters, restrictor valves, in-the-line and end-of-line filters, low pressure regulators, etc. Fittings and tubing shall be brass and polytubing.

Timing Control and Alarm System:

.1 The sequencing time shall provide the switching of solenoids and sample light indication every 12 seconds total sample time for 30 points = 360

Page 3 seconds. Six actuation timers, adjustable from 6-60 minutes shall be responsible for ventilation levels and sample pickup points.

.5 Set up the following operation modes:

.1 Actuate one exhaust fan and one makeup air unit in the event of the carbon monoxide concentration reaching 50 ppm at any sample point of this zone.

Actuate all zone exhaust fans and makeup air units in the event the carbon monoxide concentration reaches 100 ppm at any of the sample points.

Actuate an audible and visual alarm common to all sample points when the carbon monoxide reaches 150 ppm CO. Provide a pushbutton switch to silence the horn.

Provide dry contacts for ECMS high alarm indication.

.4 Automatically reset the system if the carbon monoxide falls below the preset limits.

Provide a selector switch to override the timer to select individual sample points, automatic mode as well as zero and span.

Provide free standing cabinet(s) to contain all above components, completely wired and piped. Provide louvred rear door which opens from left to right. Cabinet dimensions not to exceed {2035 mm high x 740 mm wide x 660 mm depth} [80" x 30" x 26"].

Power Requirements: 95 to 135V AC, 60 Hz, 20 amp, single phase.

Provide calibration equipment.
