You Asked
Q: What if I haven’t decided on a career yet?
That’s ok! Many of our students come here to explore
their options. We can help you discover your strengths
and prepare for a new career.
www.rdc.ab.ca/career_and_employment
Q: Will I get credit for my Advanced Placement or
International Baccalaureate courses?
RDC will award transfer credit based on the current
articulation agreements with Alberta universities as cited
in the Alberta Transfer Guide (www.transferalberta.ca).
For courses not governed by an articulation agreement,
students may choose to pursue a challenge process to
obtain academic credit at RDC. Official transcript results
from the College Entrance Examination Board, or the
IBNA office are required.
Q: What if I need help once I become a college
student?
The college experience is one that you’ll remember
forever. But it isn’t always easy. If something gets in the
way of your success, we can help. Whether you’re having
a tough time getting organized, studying, budgeting,
goal setting, or exam writing – or have a permanent or
temporary disability – we can help you get on track.
Q: How much does it really cost?
Student Tuition Cost 2015/2016 – $110.50/credit
Students’ Association Fee – $5.75/credit
The average course is 3 credits and the average program
is 30 credits per year; depending on the program of
choice, the annual total cost for tuition, books and other
fees ranges from approximately $5,500 to $6,500.
