SMART Lesson Activity Toolkit (LAT 2.0)
The Lesson Activity Toolkit provides customizable flash tools and templates that you
can use to create interactive lessons specific to your objectives. The LAT is located
within the Gallery.
You can find the Gallery Tab
in the side tab window of SMART Notebook.
To view the subcategories in the LAT click on the + sign before LAT, and then choose the folder
where the activity or object you want to use is located. (You can also use the search box).
Next, select the LAT item you wish to customize and double click on it or drag it into the work area on
the page. Finally, use the edit button or double arrows to customize!

Activities:
Anagram: vocabulary activity with scrambled words
Category Sort (category or text): sort images and words into 2 or 3 columns
Hot Spots: Insert an image and assign locations for labels
Image Arrange: Insert images or text for students to arrange as directed
Image Match: Match images and text
Image Select: Random image chooser that gives three choices to match
Keyword Match: Match terms to descriptions

Look at “Examples” for
demonstrations of several
activities. If you see a yellow
star in bottom right corner, an
online video is attached showing
how to create the activity.
Multiple Choice: Single flash object can hold up
to 10 multiple choice questions
Timeline Reveal: Include up to 10 dates with
information that is revealed
Note Reveal: Reveal up to five lines of information
Vortex: Categorize pictures or text into two
groups (Can choose whether vortices rotate)
Pairs: Create a memory-type game with up to 12 pairs
of information. You can use images or text
Word Biz: Answer questions by spelling
the answer – beat the timer!
Sentence Arrange: Arrange information chronologically
Word Guess: Hangman-type activity with
basketball, soccer, or tomato splat response
Tiles: Place up to a 5X7 grid of tiles over text or images to
reveal by choice or randomly
