Systems Multi-layered expertise for demanding environments Systems Multi-layered expertise for demanding environments The non-combustible protection against corrosion Rigid cellular glass foam, Kaiglass is non-combustible insulation that eliminates pipe corrosion and prevents energy loss. With a closed cell structure, Kaiglass is virtually impervious to moisture making it a highly reliable and resilient system solution. Kaiglass is fully rated for use at temperatures from -260°C to +430°C making it appropriate for use on a wide range of applications. As a remarkably stable material exhibiting hardly any thermal expansion or contraction, Kaiglass is a professional solution for industrial cryogenics. Using acoustic design principles and independently tested using the EN ISO 15665 test procedure, Kaipro systems provide excellent sound reduction properties. The thermal performance of Kaipro systems is largely provided by layers of Kaiflex insulation. With it's closed cell structure, Kaiflex also resists moisture ingress – playing a key role in stopping pipe corrosion. Layers of Kaisound provide sound absorption that enhances insertion loss. Although the main components of Kaipro systems are the same from project to project, Kaimann works closely with consultants to tailor system composition in order to meet project specific objectives. There are three principle categories of Kaipro systems that have been designed and tested to maximise insertion loss where sound reduction is a priority. Suitable for use at temperatures down to -200°C Prevention of Corrosion Highly stable thermal performance Industrial noise control Weather & UV resistant for external use © Kaimann GmbH | subject to alterations | www.kaimann.co.uk Systems Multi-layered expertise for demanding environments Kaipro R: Durable & Long Lasting Industrial Solutions Utilising the high density Kaiflex Protect R covering, Kaipro R systems offer the best possible protection against corrosion under insulation. addition to protecting the insulation system underneath. The non-metallic Kaiflex Protect R covering is based on highly durable and resilient EPDM rubber. With a high resistance to chemicals and salt-water washover it offers additional protection against moisture ingress and is particularly well suited for use in chemical processing and other industrial locations. Kaipro R systems can be modified to meet specific thermal and/or acoustic considerations. The acoustic performance for several standard Kaipro R systems is shown below: On impact Kaipro R systems will exhibit temporary deflection but, since all components are equally flexible and quickly recover, the systems will not suffer permanent deformation. Acoustically Kaipro R systems maximise performance whilst minimising weight because the high density covering performs the functions of a sound barrier in 125 250 500 1000 2000 4000 8000 Kaipro R-25 -3 3 0 10 16 22 39 Kaipro R-50S -5 4 7 18 30 37 39 Kaipro R-75S-2 -6 8 14 22 38 44 47 Kaipro TEC: High Performance Systems With A Metallic Appearance Covered with the attractive and incredibly easy to apply Kaiflex Protect AluTEC, Kaipro TEC systems offer all of the visual advantages of metal clad insulation without the need for metal work. Kaiflex Protect AluTEC is a semi-rigid PVC-Aluminium composite with permanent curl characteristics. Durable and attractive, Kaiflex Protect AluTEC is not only easy to install but also easy to clean and maintain. The UV resistant Aluminium composite covering is also durable and protects the insulation system from impact damage and vandalism making Kaipro TEC systems particularly well suited for use on sites where insulation is exposed to public view. Easily modified to meet any thermal requirement, Kaipro TEC systems also incorporate layers of high density sound barriers to provide excellent acoustic performance. With closed cell Kaiglass combined with closed cell Kaiflex, Kaipro CRYO systems offer twice the protection against moisture ingress – providing an extremely reliable solution against pipe corrosion. Kaipro CRYO systems are able to provide exceptional acoustic performance at ultra low temperatures because the initial layer of rigid Kaiglass can be combined with Kaiflex and Kaisound, creating a solution with an acoustic perfor- mance comparable to other Kaipro systems. Since Kaipro CRYO systems are designed to operate at cryogenic temperatures with configurations engineered to ensure the flexible layers are always flexible in use and the acoustic performance is consistent and reliable. 125 250 500 1000 2000 4000 8000 Kaipro CRYO 25 -7 0 2 12 21 30 39 Kaipro CRYO 50s -6 3 8 19 30 40 46 Kaimann GmbH · School House Business Centre · Brideoak Street, Waterhead · Oldham · Greater Manchester · OL4 2HB · Phone +44 (0) 161 627 3289 Fax +44 (0) 161 880 2551 · Email info.uk@kaimann.com · www.kaimann.co.uk · © 09.2012 Kaimann GmbH · All rights reserved.
