DTS-K CP-2635(C)/A LINK-11 DTS-K CP-2635(C)/A LINK-11 – DATA TERMINAL SET WITH EMBEDDED CRYPTO The DRS DTS-K CP-2635(C)/A – Link-11 Data Terminal Set with Embedded Crypto is designed to house data link modem and cryptographic equipment in one chassis of either a fixed or a rotary wing aircraft. The DTS-K is a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) based system comprised of a VME bus-based chassis, and circuit boards that contains the software that enables the circuit boards to perform a Link-11 data terminal set and crypto functions. Its current design accommodates operation via software-selectable switching, but design work has been done to allow for simultaneous Link-22 operation in a future configuration. The DTS-K has been certified by the National Security Agency (NSA). the radio are converted to binary data and input to the computer. Third, the DTS-K provides the encryption and decryption needed for Communication Security (COMSEC). Designed for the military aircraft environment, the DTS-K has a remote control (e.g., from the cockpit) feature that enables remote operation of the unit over an RS-232 compatible link. In addition to the Conventional Link-11 Waveform (CLEW), the DTS-K also provides the Single-tone Link-11 Waveform (SLEW) for improved performance in the presence of multipath, commonly found in the High Frequency (HF) environment. The DTS-K has three primary functions in a Tactical Data Information Link (TADIL) net. First, the DTS-K handles the message flow required to pass net transmission from one station to another. Second, it accepts binary digital data from the computer and converts it to phase-modulated audio tones for the radio. For reception of information, audio tones from DTS-K CP-2635(C)/A – Data Terminal Set with Embedded Crypto www.drs.com Cleared by US DoD/OSR for Public Release under OSR case number 10-S-2937 dated 08.17.2010.
