It is interactive software for numerical computation and data visualization, which along with its programming capabilities provides a very useful tool for almost all areas of science and engineering. It is one of the leading software packages for numerical computation. In this 2-day workshop, participants will learn the fundamentals of MATLAB, and how to use MATLAB to perform a statistical analysis. LEARNING OUTCOMES Dr. Mahmoud A. M. Albreem received his B.Eng. degree from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, University of Gaza (IUG), and his M.Sc. degree in Electronic Systems Design Engineering from the University Science Malaysia (USM) in 2008 and 2010, respectively. He was granted the USM gold medal award for best M.Sc. student in 2010. In 2009-2010, he stayed in USM as a teacher assistant and a research officer. Dr. Albreem received his Ph.D. from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, USM in September 2013, where he was granted a USM fellowship. Since January 2014, he has been with the School of Electrical System Engineering, University Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), where he is currently an Assistant Professor. At the end of the workshop: i. Participants should be able to analyze statistically large data sets. ii. Participants should be able to model the data using MATLAB. iii. Participants should be able to perform the regressions analysis. His research interests include detection techniques, lattice sphere decoding, and signal processing for wireless communication systems. Dr. Albreem is using MATLAB for more than 15 year. He is a MATLAB trainer and consultant. He performed many workshops in different universities in statistical analysis area, MATLAB for beginners, and advanced-topics in MATLAB.
