Complete Jetter vehicle checklist (see High Pressure Flush Truck SOP or
Vacuum Truck SOP).
•
Complete required paperwork and verify that you have all equipment necessary
to complete your job assignments for the location(s) and cleaning tasks

traffic control requirements for City of Dana Point (only), for heavy traffic
roads.

Verify maintenance hole number and location, and pipe length.
•
Set up traffic control for maintenance hole location and align truck with hose
real for cleaning (see High Pressure Flush Truck SOP or Combination Truck
(Vac Con) SOP).
•
Set 4-gas monitor on top of maintenance hole to check structure for hazards
prior to removing maintenance hole cover.
•
Inspect maintenance hole for roots, infiltration, cracking, deterioration, insects,
broken rungs, broken cover, debris, grease, sticks, or any other obstructions that
could cause a backup in the downstream pipe.
•
Remove any debris and break up grease with spade or grease knocker prior to
cleaning pipe.
