CATALYTIC CONVERTER LIMITED WARRANTY
Bosal USA Inc. makes the following limited warranty to the original retail purchaser of
this catalytic converter:
1. LIMITED WARRANTY This catalytic converter is warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship subject to the
exclusions and conditions set forth below and subject to the durational limits in the paragraph. Catalytic converters designed and
manufactured to meet Federal Environmental Protection Agency requirements have an emissions warranty of 25,000 miles.
Catalytic converters designed and manufactured to meet CARB requirements have an emissions warranty of 50,000 miles. The
stainless steel body and nipples alone are warranted for 5 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. At the conclusion of the 5
years / 50,000 mile period, all liability under this limited warranty shall terminate.
2. DEFECTS If this catalytic converter is defective, Bosal USA Inc. will supply the purchaser with a new catalytic converter
provided the following conditions are met:
a. The purchaser must return the converter to an authorized dealer, along with a dated proof of purchase with the Bosal
converter part number shown and a completed warranty claim form.
b. If the warranty claim relates to emission performance, the purchaser should provide proof of emission test failure.
c. Bosal USA may require the purchaser to provide proof that the engine was tuned to original manufacturer's specifications
and maintained in proper operating condition.
THE ONLY OBLIGATION OF BOSAL USA UNDER THIS WARRANTY IS TO SUPPLY THE PURCHASER WITH A NEW
CATALYTIC CONVERTER. IN CALIFORNIA THIS WARRANTY INCLUDES THE FULL REPLACEMENT COST UP TO THE
AMOUNT OF THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE, INCLUDING LABOR.
3. EXCLUSIONS Failure or defects, caused by the following conditions, are not covered by this warranty:
a. Improper installation (including installation on applications not specified by the catalog) and or failure to
maintain the vehicle in proper operating condition with all emission controls connected and functioning in
accordance with the manufacturer's specification.
b. The use of leaded fuel.
c. Damage due to accident, negligence or misuse.
d. Converters installed on vehicles with modified exhaust or emission systems.
CALIFORNIA SAFETY STATEMENT: The catalytic converter manufactured by Bosal USA
will not in their operation, function or malfunction, result in any unsafe conditions
endangering the motor vehicle, its occupants, persons or property in close proximity to
the vehicle.
All implied warranties, including the warranties of merchantability and fitness for a
particular purpose, are expressly limited to the duration of this limited warranty. Bosal USA shall
not be liable for damages or injury to persons or property resulting from misuse or improper
installation of the catalytic converter.
Some states do not allow a limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the
exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. The above limitations may not
apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights
which vary from state to state.
Top Sheet installer copy, must
be read and signed by the
customer.
Second sheet customer copy
to be returned with converter in
the event of a warranty claim.
Third sheet to be attached to the
old converter and kept for 15
days.
Bottom sheet to be mailed to
address on back of sheet.
