Fiber Optic Digital Video Insertion System for PON with
1550 Overlay & RFoG Networks (DVISf):
Features:

A cost-effective, edge-based & seamless solution for inserting locally generated content (eg. security cameras or localized
advertising) in MDUs that are being served with a PON with 1550nm overlay or RFoG network

Locally encodes up to 10 SD (or 5 HD) programs in MPEG-2/H.264 (see specifications for details), multiplexes into a QAM carrier
& transmits optically for insertion into optical network that services the MDU

User defined insertion wavelength ensures no optical interference with 1550nm broadcast video wavelength

User settable QAM frequency ensures that inserted QAM does not interfere with any of the 1550nm broadcast video QAMs

Fully integrated audio/video encoders, multiplexer, QAM modulator, optical transmitters & 1 or 4-port EDFA modules

Scalable wall mount solution: from 1-10 encoded programs & 1-10, 12, 13 or 16 optical output options

Hot-swappable encoder cards, optical transmitters & 1 or 4-port EDFA modules

“No-video” screen in case of loss of input video; user can create custom on-screen text/design

HTTP-based GUI allows for easy set-up & control; “one-click” configuration download & upload allows for efficient bulk configuration
management (MPEG/QAM)
