Are you looking for fun and exciting activities for your children? Look no
further. The Neighborhood Recreation Center offers a variety of programs
such as special events, on the spot games, tournaments, arts & crafts and
physical activities. The program goal is to provide a safe, fun and supervised
alternative for youth after school. IMPORTANT! This is a drop-in program. Youth
come and go as they please.

BOOT CAMP AEROBICS - Instructor: Janet Mantilla
Join the ultimate circuit workout combining intervals of cardio drills and
muscle conditioning drills. Enjoy the variety of classes that may use jump
ropes, boxing drills, relay races and even a little healthy competition. These
high-intensity classes will help you to burn between 400-600 calories. Suitable
for all levels – but let the instructor know if this is your first time in class.

Fill out a class household information card and pay the required fees at the
center. You are not enrolled into the class until you have: 1) signed the waiver
on the back of the household information card, 2) your fees have been paid,

KARATE I - Instructor: Stephanie Gorden
This class offers a style of martial arts that is a combination of Goju-Shorei,
Shoto-Kan, Tae Kwon Do, BKF Kenpo and Jujitsu. During the training process
students will learn self defense, self-discipline and respect for others.

Comfortable clothing and bottled water suggested for most classes. Ballet
& Tap students must supply their own ballet and tap shoes. Leotards are
suggested.
This class offers an extension of Karate I. Instructors permission is required to

CARD DESIGN
Silver Mesa offers two fitness rooms. One room has a variety of strength and
resistance equipment and the second room has the latest cardiovascular
machines to help improve and maintain your overall fitness level. The cardio
room is equipped with a state of the art cardio theater as well as a sound
system to get you moving during your workout. So bring your headphones
from home for use on the cardio machines and tune into our TV’s! Users must
be members.
Can’t find the perfect greeting card at the store? Learn how to design and
create your own cards! Students learn about paper, adhesives, stamping and
even make their own envelopes.

On the last Tuesday of the month there will be picnic/potluck at 10:00am.
The City of North Las Vegas in partnership with Socialites, Inc. will be offering a
tutoring and homework program. This program offers individual or group tutoring
sessions to meet the specific needs of the students. Participants benefit through
activities such as debates, writing, rhyming, storytelling, reading, math and style
identification. Socialites, Inc. will be onsite Mon-Thu from 4:00pm-6:00pm. Tutors

MUSIC
This series teaches new moms or moms with children the necessary daily
requirements from each of the food groups as well as emphasis on living active
lifestyles. The importance of eating healthy as well as planning your meals is
taught through cooking demonstrations and class participation. The workshop
will also include: information on prenatal care and newborn care. Participants will

SAFEKEY PROGRAM
Safekey is a structured before and after school program for K-5th grade
children. Safekey is offered at school sites and provides a variety of activities and
social events such as arts and crafts, fitness activities, and physical games that are
facilitated by trained staff.
Children may work on homework during supervised free play time during the hours
of Safekey but we cannot enforce the completion of homework or ensure that it is
done correctly. Safekey is a recreation based program, we do not offer tutoring or

homework help. This is to ensure that children are not misadvised on homework.
Safekey Camps require a completed Safekey Participation Form strictly for the
use of the Safekey Camp program. Please make sure the site location written
on the form is Safekey Camp Program. Please handle Fun Zone registration
and fees with Front Desk Staff at Silver Mesa Recreation Center.
You must sign your child in and out daily. The person who is scheduled to pick
up your child must be listed on the participation form and they must show proper
identification.

THIS IS A LIGHTED GOLF COURSE
The City of North Las Vegas operates a 9-hole, par three golf course 7 days a
week and a 9-hole DiscGolfPark with an 18-hole option 5 days a week. Both offer
the best golf value in the Las Vegas area. Open year round, the course can be
enjoyed by golfers of all ages and abilities. It is especially user friendly for seniors
and beginners. The length is not intimidating, there are no artificial hazards, and
the small greens present a challenge to the more accomplished players.
NORTH LAS VEGAS NFL FLAG FOOTBALL
Note: All volunteer head coaches will receive half-off their child’s registration
fee (one reduced fee per team coached).
The City of North Las Vegas will offer its youth co-ed recreational flag football league
in affiliation with NFL Flag powered by USA Football. This non-contact, recreational
league provides a fun environment for children ages 5-12 to develop their skills,
engage in healthy competition and practice good sportsmanship. Participants are
randomly assigned to volunteer-coached teams which practice one evening a week
at Tropical Breeze Park on a day chosen by the coach. Games will be played on
Saturdays at Seastrand Park.

The course is well maintained and offers gently rolling terrain with many mature
trees and a great view of the Las Vegas Valley. The course was the first lighted
course in Nevada and golfers can tee off as late as 4:30pm for traditional golf and
8:30pm at the DiscGolfPark. There is a small coffee shop and pro shop located in
the clubhouse, featuring top of the line products. Pro shop offers traditional ball
golf and disc golf products at reasonable pricing.

STICKS FOR KIDS: Golf is an excellent forum to introduce youth to physical
activity, to increase youth’s environmental awareness and to provide an
opportunity to learn a lifetime sport. The Sticks for Kids program provides as many
children as possible with a set of clubs to use while learning to play the game
of golf. The Par 3 Golf Course is proud to offer the Sticks for Kids clubs that are
available for use at no cost. See the pro shop staff for more information.

SPECIAL PROGRAMS: Par 3 golf course is a Boy Scouts Merit Badge Cub Scouts Loop & Pin Certified Location. Please call and book an individual tee
time for a trooper or group time for an entire troop. Par 3 encourages parent
participation or supervision while troopers are fulfilling their requirements to
obtain their badge or loop & pin.
EDGE is a curriculum-based program geared toward educating youth on Disc
Golf and the sport as a whole. The Educational Disc Golf Experience will run in
conjunction with local schools and recreation centers during the winter, spring
and summer months.
Aliante Golf Club is operated by Troon Golf LLC for the City of North Las Vegas.
*Preferred North Las Vegas resident rates are offered to North Las Vegas
residents at Aliante Golf Club. Proof of North Las Vegas residency required to
receive resident rates (driver’s license and/or current utility bill required).
TOURNAMENTS: The Par 3 golf course hosts multiple tournaments
throughout the year. Tournaments are held internally, through leagues or the
course may also be reserved for private use. Fees may apply. All tournaments are
open to the general public, unless it is a private event. Contact our office today for
pricing and additional information.
Other amenities at Aliante Golf Club include the 3100 Grille. The Grille boasts
spectacular mountain views and offers an event pavilion that is perfect for
special occasions, birthdays, anniversaries and weddings.
LEAGUES: The Par 3 golf course is looking forward to introducing formalized
leagues for men, women and youth ages 6-17 in support of the Sticks for Kids
program. These leagues will meet once a week. Golfers of all ages and abilities
will be welcomed to join. As additional information becomes available; dates, fees
and promotional information will be posted in the Pro Shop.
The Practice Facility has a natural grass hitting area, large putting green, and
short game area, complete with practice bunker. Proper golf attire is required
throughout the facility.
The Golf Shop offers a full line of apparel and a great selection of golf equipment.
9-HOLE OFFERING

9-Hole rates available all day including our “Back 9 morning” tee times (available
for the first hour of every day)

LESSONS: The City of North Las Vegas is proud to offer golf lessons for
beginner to intermediate golfers. Classes are held once a week, for 6 weeks.
Beginner classes are $50.00 and meet for 60 minutes and intermediate classes
are $60.00 and meet for 90 minutes. Private lessons are now available at various
times on weekdays, M-F. These are non-group lessons for all ages 6+ with (1)
instructor to (1) student instruction. The lessons are for a 6 week period, at 60
minutes in length per week for $75.00 in total. Clubs are available at no additional
charge for participant use during lesson time.

LARGE EVENT-MULTI DAY USE: These reservations are ideal for family
reunions, weddings, company picnics, school functions, or other larger events
involving more than 100 people. These reservations must be made at least 30 days
in advance depending on size and scope of the event. Fees start at $100 per hour
per area with a 4-hour minimum. . A refundable cleaning/damage deposit will be
determined upon application submission and review.

reunions, company picnics, HOA meetings, wedding receptions and other events.
Reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis and must be made a
minimum of 14 days in advance. Shelters are reserved in 3 to 5 hour blocks of
time and range from $50-$100 per hour (holidays are additional). Alcohol may be

CRAIG RANCH REGIONAL PARK EVENT AND OPEN SPACE
RENTALS
Craig Ranch Regional Park has multiple open space features, a state of the art
Amphitheater, event plazas, a 65,000 square-foot Skate Park, and parking lots that
can be reserved and configured to fit the needs of your next event! Fees for each
area vary depending on the size and scope of the event. Please contact the Park
Office for more information or to submit a request form.
CANCELLATION POLICY AND REFUNDS: Any changes to your
reservation must be made to this office no less than 14 days prior to the
reservation date to receive any form of refund. A refund of 50% will be issued
if event is cancelled in person or in writing at least 14 days prior to reservation
date (30 days prior for open space rentals). Refunds will only be made when
proper cancellation procedures are followed. Refunds may take up to 4-6 weeks
to be processed. The City of North Las Vegas will refund if the event is cancelled
by our department for the full amount less any costs directly incurred by the
department. A $25.00 fee will be assessed to the issuer for all checks returned to
the department for insufficient funds.

PERSONAL BARBECUE GRILLS: For the safety of our patrons, personal
barbeque grills are not permitted within Craig Ranch Regional Park without

COMMUNITY GARDEN: The Community Garden offers sixty-two, 5’ x 13’
personal gardening plots that are available for reservations on an annual basis.
Applications for the Community Garden are available online or in person at the
Craig Ranch office. The annual fee is $150 per plot and includes water usage.
FARMERS MARKET: On the Ranch Farmers and Artisan Market is open
EVERY SUNDAY (rain, shine & holidays) inside Craig Ranch Regional Park. Our
summer hours are 8:00am-1:00pm through Sep. Fall hours 9:00am-2:00pm. Come
out and get your farm fresh organic and conventionally grown produce and
honey for the week along with locally made spices, sauces, oils & vinegars, kettle
corn, Hawaiian shaved ice, handmade jewelry, crafts, natural skincare products,
