VIROSAF
rotators comprise
two units:
a drive beam
and an idler beam.
The two units
are designed
to rotate
cylindrical
workpieces
weighing
up to 30 tons.
The drive beam rotates
the workpiece
and supports
half its weight
(30 WPF drive beam).

idler beam
supports
half the weight
of the workpiece
(30 FPF

In dual motor versions, each roller has its own compact
motor-gearbox unit.
This solution eliminates a potentially dangerous
transmission shaft and eliminates overloads
on the roller gearboxes in the event of different roller
radii or crushing of the rollers.

Variable-speed motorized rotation
and manual inclination.
The indispensable bench-mountable small
positioners for circular welds.
They are high-frequency protected
and so can be used with any welding process.
POSISAF and MEMORAX

POSISAF 3F - 7F
(medium capacity: 300 kg and 650 kg)
Variable speed motorized rotation
and motorized tilt,
fixed height.
In these positioners, rotation and tilt
are both motorized.
An electronic variable speed drive
and a DC motor provide rotation at a variable
speed slaved to the armature resistance.
The resulting range of speeds and speed stability
allow automatic welding.
A worm-wheel and lead-screw speed reducer
provides a non-reversible drive.
The fixed-speed tilt movement
is limited by two safety end stops.
The POSISAF 7F is controlled remotely from
a 5-button controller fitted with a 5 m cable.
The controller also carries the speed variation
potentiometer.
The POSISAF 3F has the controls on a unit
fixed to the rear of the device.
It is supplied with a footpedal (with a 3 m cable)
for controlling its rotation.

Because downhand welding is easier
than position welding, it is much safer,
faster and more economic and gives
a better looking result.
POSISAF 16B to 110B
(general purpose,
high capacity - up to 15 tons)
Variable-speed motorized rotation,
motorized tilt and manual height
adjustment.
These are true general purpose positioners because
they provide three simultaneous movements:
• rotation,
• 135° tilt,
• pin-in-hole height adjustment.
They solve most positioning problems.
Remote control of speed variation is included
as standard. The 135° inclination movement
is provided by a large toothed sector.
This system is the system of choice for safe
handling of high inertia workpieces.
A speed indicator is available as an option.
Each model incorporates a rotary earth connector.
The rotation movement, which is characterized
by very little backlash, great stability
and an exceptional range of variation,
produces perfect welds using any automatic process.

MEMORAX
Programmed positioning for manual welding.
The time to execute any welding operation is made up
of the welding time (10 to 40%) plus the workpiece handling time
(60 to 90%). There is virtually no way to reduce the welding
time, but MEMORAX can greatly reduce the workpiece handling
time: a tap on the footpedal and the workpiece starts to move
at high speed.
The programming unit can store 8 programs,
each with 40 positions (8 programs with 32 positions
in the MEMORAX 7HVPV/18HVPV).
This means that the welder can keep his tools
(welding gun and mask) in his hands at all times
and concentrate on his welding task.
The MEMORAX range is simplicity itself and highly flexible
to use: the positioners can be used for manual tasks such as tacking,
polishing, fettling, assembly, etc.
A box type workpiece can be tacked, welded, buffed
and polished without removing it from the positioner.
This saves a great deal of time and eliminates fatigue.
Safety is also improved:
workpieces are no longer handled, which greatly reduces
the risk of injury.
