to learn about renewable
energy in a very creative
and engaging manner.
About the course:
Students will collaborate and self select according
to a common engineering interest to achieve merits
toward project objectives related to energy systems
design, energy conversion, power applications, and
sustainability and efficiency. For their efforts, the
student teams will be awarded certificates.
In addition to the amazing team opportunities,
students will receive instruction and opportunities to
earn specific skill certificates in areas of sun and star
resources, biomass resources, wind resources, water
resources, and earth resources.

All students will participate in the Skills Certificate
categories listed below. The Engineering Certificate
will be earned on a team project that the students will
work on outside of their regular REC programming
activities.
Each team will have a team mentor to help them with: u ideas
u construction
u research
u guidance
toward the successful demonstration of merit and
achievement of the Team Engineering Certificate of
their choice.
Build gadgets, complete activities and field exercises,
and make new friends using the outstanding facilities
and services provided by UW-Platteville and under the
guidance of a community of committed pioneers with
advanced expertise in this field.
