Fittings for ADSS Cable NSF 151 8001 to NSF 151 8010 Features • Tested together with the cable The design enables excellent mechanical properties and prevents slipping of the cable. • Quick and easy tool-free installation To usage the right fittings is very important to avoid damages of the cable. • Cold installation, no heating required • Re-enterable Description Application The NSF 151 8001 to NSF 8010 is a series of fittings for ADSS cables. The fittings are made of material that can withstand rough weather. They do not expose the cable to compressive forces which may lead to attenuation increase in the fiber. The fittings are designed for quick and easy installation, minimizing time consuming civil works. The fittings when used with Hexatronic ADSS cables provide a future proof aerial network that is easy to expand upgrade and maintain. 28701-NSF 151 8001 Uen Rev E © Hexatronic Cables & Interconnect Systems AB info@hexatronic.com www.hexatronic.com +46 10 453 02 00 1/4 Fittings for ADSS Cable Suspension Pulley Clamps with Spiral Attachment Suspension pulley clamps with spiral attachment are designed for use with ADSS cables and for span lengths up to approximately 150 m. Helical dead ends are ideally suited for the full tensioning of self supporting optical fiber aerial cables. Dead ends are composed of five or more preassembled helical rods which are covered with small-grained sand on the inside to improve the frictional contact. The loop of the dead end is protected from abrasion by means of a thimble. The deformation of the cable is omitted as the radial compression is distributed over a large contact area. These particular dead ends are intended to be used directly on the outer sheath of ADSS cables without protection rods. To protect the cable protection rods are then used together with the helical dead ends at the tension sets. They are mounted beneath the helical dead end and spread the radial forces on the cable uniformly along the zone of contact. About one fifth of the overall length of the helix is of smaller diameter. This section is used to attach the damper and provides a completely reliable grip on the ADSS cable so that the damper will not slip even on slopes. The remaining length of the helix has no close contact to the cable. Due to differential motions between ADSS cable and damper, the ADSS cable vibrations are eliminated. product number clamping range (mm) d (mm) length (mm) weight (kg) NSF 151 8007/01 13.7 – 15.24 12.5 1190 0.2 NSF 151 8007/02 11.03 – 12.29 12.5 1040 0.2 NSF 151 8007/03 12.30 – 13.70 12.5 1125 0.3 NSF 151 8007/04 15.25 – 16.99 12.5 1265 0.3 NSF 151 8007/05 17.00 – 18.94 16.0 1350 0.3 NSF 151 8007/06 18.95 – 21.10 16.0 1380 0.3 NSF 151 8007/07 21.12 – 23.53 16.0 1490 0.3 L Oval Eye 28701-NSF 151 8001 Uen Rev E © Hexatronic Cables & Interconnect Systems AB D Ordering Information The oval eye is intended to act as an intermediate link between thimble/helical dead end and pole hook.
