Faculty Exchange Incoming: • UJ receives several international faculty members annually on the basis of exchange agreements or through foreign government funded scholarships and fellowships. Outgoing: •UJ encourages all its faculty members to make international links and to seek further academic development abroad. DAAD has been particularly helpful in offering such opportunities. •UJ took a revolutionary measure to facilitate the mobility of its faculty members: They can spend up to one PAID semester abroad on scientific visits without having to be promoted or eligible for sabbatical leaves. It counts towards promotion and retirement.
